Firefly's got a lovely little open air space up the hill, which allows for great sea views. It's also got a couple adorable dogs that love to hang about. We popped by, as a meal at Firefly was included in the price of our villa, and while the food was really nice, I'm glad it was free. The food is... More

Thank you for your compliments and for visiting Firefly, I am so glad you liked the dogs! Just to correct you on a couple of points, we are certainly not the most expensive restaurant on Bequia! Not the cheapest, but not tops in the price range either, and (despite rumours on the internet) we are not for sale! More

We stayed here two years ago. Fabulous place if you are into climbing many steps. We stayed elsewhere this past August but returned for a meal and a promise to Donovan. Great staff, food was very good. Service was above and beyond.

We are on Bequia on holiday we went to Firefly on its last night (22nd September) open until 18th October. There was just one other diner nevertheless this did not detract from the quality of service and food received. We had a nice cocktail each before dinner then both had delicious salad starters using mainly produce grown on the plantation... More

We have just gone on to this site to post our review having returned from a fabulous holiday here and am surprised by some of the negative comments. Not what We were expecting to see at all. I wonder what people’s expectations were. If you go to Bequia expecting 5 star restaurants, swish waiters and your food on the table... More

Had a great meal at Firefly Plantation. The staff were really friendly and most of the ingredients were all grown on the plantation! The waiter run through all of the ingredients with Joanna and even showed her the herb garden on the plantation. The atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed and unrushed. The shade and the breeze made the meal... More

This was a highly anticipated meal - a special wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, and despite the best intentions of the staff, we came away with mixed thoughts. The meal was fine and in a wonderful setting - the restaurant is atmospheric and in a unique spot. The issues we had were on our second visit to a Barbecue night - which... More

What a find - about 5 mins from Port Elizabeth tucked up in the hills... A breezy and charming place with a lovely atmosphere. Admittedly off-season so pretty quiet, but we couldn't have asked for more attentive service. Polite, helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. The food was good - certainly no complaints. The setting is lovely... More

We went for dinner on Sunday evening expecting a really great meal and were very disappointed, the setting is charming, although probably lovelier by daylight. The food however was just not very good, we had the jerk dinner and the conch chowder served as a starter looked and tasted like washing up water, the main was OK and the dessert... More

Went to Firefly for the 3-course Sunday Curry Lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The setting is lovely, very 'plantation Caribbean' style, great views through the palms down the hill to the sea. We had the set 3 course lunch (30US$++pp) including chilled coconut and pineapple soup (unusual but delicious), one chicken and one veggie curry with trimmings, and fruit... More

We have just returned from an overpriced lunch with dreadful food and poor service in one of the most beautiful settings imaginable on the island of Bequia. We stopped in this morning to make a 12:00 reservation and were greeted by a delightful young waiter. Since we are staying in a villa, and they grow their own fruits and vegetables... More
