Goat cheese salad and best steaks on the island

The service is excellent and the food rises to the occasion. L'Auberge offers up sophisticated food with an island flair. Hi wife and I spent 9 days in Bequia for our honeymoon, and our hotel manager recommended going to L'Auberge for our last night. The dinner was absolutely fantastic! They had a wide range of entrees- far more selection than many of the restaurants on the island. I had the pepper-crusted tuna, and it was prepared perfectly. We could tell... More

We ate dinner at L'Auberge while visiting Bequia. The ambience and service were both nice and the owners were on hand to greet you which was a nice touch. However, we both felt that the food (besides the fresh lobster of course) could have been better. Tiny portions, undercooked rice and while the banana flambé was delicious, the serving size... More

Jacques and Eileen Thevenot , the husband and wife owners are both professionally trained chefs and it shows. Their restaurant operates at a level significantly above others in Bequia and consistently provides excellent food and service. It is difficult to pick out one particular item from the menu but their tuna tartar with fried breadfruit chips is a favorite of... More

When traveling, I am always inclined to ask a local resident for a recommendation for a good place to eat. In this case we were directed to L'Auberge. It is a little off the beaten path, but an easy walk from the Hamilton Bay dock. We were delighted! It is an open air restaurant (not to be confused with a... More

We went for Dinner one night and were so impressed we returned for our last lunch on Bequia before heading back by Ferry. The wait staff is spot on and the Owner very conscientious . The presentations were amazing and a table of 5 foodies were thrilled with all the dishes.

It was recommended that we dine here and it was a great recommendation! This restaurant is right on the bay and has it's own dingy dock. Easy access from the bay. The view is exceptional and the food awesome! We had the seafood casserole which was more of a stew but man, was it good. My husband had the fresh... More

On our last night on the sailboat, we decided to try this restaurant and was NOT disappointed! Amazing French Caribbean cuisine. Excellently made barracuda in a blue cheese sauce and a seafood casserole which was more like a stew. AMAZING! Very attentive staff, very highly recommended to anyone wanting amazing food, very reasonably priced and located overlooking the bay. They... More

My wife and I have been traveling to Bequia for a couple of years now and have had a chance to sample a majority of the "fine restaurants" on this beautiful island. Of course we are looking for local cuisine; in particular seafood with Caribbean flavors. We have been pleasantly surprised by the availability of high quality meals all around... More
