We went with high hopes to this small restaurant in Fernando's home. Perhaps it was the last day before he closed for the summer season, but the fish was bland and did not seem fresh. They were out of 3 of the 4 desserts on the menu and only 1 white wine was available. The 2 elderly ladies serving us... More

Cosy, relaxed and romantic. This is tucked away up the hill and is a small eatery. Fresh fish, caught hours before is cooked by the host. Its wholesome. Pudding was to die for, our only regret is that we only went once during our stay. Best to book....as its so small

Keep going up the road on the right 'before the hill' and you will find Fernando's (Nando's). A lovely experience - good, home cooking in a unique environment with two sisters to serve and giggle at our jokes, and a congenial host/chef who you can see catching your dinner during the day. Not to be missed. A gem.

On Bequia for one week, and ate at Fernando's Hideaway twice. We would have eaten there more but discovered it late in the week. Delicious food, lovingly prepared by Fernando, served by his delightful sisters. Wish I was there right now!

This restaurant lives up to it's reviews. It is well hidden and worth the trip. We like to dine a little earlier but on our visit they didn't start taking orders until 7:30. You can be seated before, and enjoy a drink. At 7:30 the girls come out of the kitchen and recite the night's menu to you. We had... More

Sure there are lots of places to grab a burger and fries on Bequia, but Fernando's felt like the real thing - small, simple menu full of local & fresh ingredients in a tiny, cozy venue. My favourite was the Guinness chocolate cake - amazing.

We had dinner at Nando's on March 15th, 2014 and had the best meal of the week we stayed on the island. We had heard about the restaurant from reviews prior to visiting but it took us several days to figure out where the restaurant is. No signs pointing the way. That is the way of Bequia - you only... We stayed in Lower Bay a few years back and did not go here because we didn't visually see it and kinda forgot about it. This year we called for reservations and got directions a few days ahead. I highly recommend this restaurant! Our service was superb and Fernando came out when we got there and chatted a bit. Hy... More

We had to book a few days in advance, but the wait was well worth it. Excellent service in comfortable surroundings. The best fish we have ever eaten. If you visit Lower Bay, try and visit Fernano's.
