My wife and I ate at Fernando's Hideaway last night and I must say that the effusive reviews from other posters are not exaggerated! The food was excellent plus! The stars of the meal were the vegetables! I had fish and my wife had pork - but with them we had eight or ten separate vegetables. Each portion was small... More

We were staying at The Bequia Beach Hotel and were there half board so no real incentive to eat out. The food was excellent at BBH but guests we had met all raved about Fernando's and it was a must visit. So along with 2 other hotel guests we took ourselves off to Fernando's. The setting was above Lower Bay... More

Fernando's - or Nando's to the locals - is a cosy restaurant on a rise set far back from the road at the town end of Lower Bay. You would not realise it was there unless someone took you (and reserved a table days beforehand). Run by the idiosyncratic owner and with his two twin(?) daughters serving, this is an... More

A simple menu, actually not really a menu, you get a choice for the day of what the owner has cooked but that means it's all fresh and local. Great setting over the bay with simple local decor. If you choose to eat in town I would make this your first stop. It's good value for money, unfussy tasty local... More

Lovely little restaurant hidden away in Lower bay, but worth searching for. Food is simple but delicious with a limited menu choice, however this adds to the experience. Not badly priced and you get what Fernando has been able to catch that day. Doesn't get any fresher!! Recommend a visit.

Only one setting, you need to make reservations the day you get on the island or you will not be able to have dinner there. The owner goes fishing in the morning for the catch of the day to be served that evening...nothing frozen here. The owner is the chief along with his sisters to help in serving. It is... More

A wonderful authentic chef cooked meal with delightful Caribbean nuanced flavour and seasonings (not spicy hot). It was a delightful ambiance and fernado, who fishes daily for the fresh fish, pops out to chat. Its a three course menu with three choices of mains. We eat in over 10 places on Bequia and Fernando's is easily the best in quality... More

Eaten here many times over the last ten years, three on our latest trip (jan/feb'15). Our all time favourite, and we have eaten at most of the restaurants and cafes over the years and many on our latest trip. We love the rustic charm, the relaxed atmosphere and lovely staff, its also great value for money. Because the menu is... More

Simply one of the most authentic and atmospheric restaurants on the island. The food is exceptional. Make sure you get there early in order to snap up the delicious freshly caught red snapper. Highly recommend visiting.
