We (a group of 4) went to the Wednesday pig roast with high expectations but felt let down. The buffet was reasonable but certainly not exceptional. We have become used to charming, cheerful service on this island and this was certainly not the case here. Perhaps our waitress was new but she seemed undertrained and did not have people skills.... Went here 3 times for breakfast. Homemade yoghurt, muesli, juices, bacon, sausages, breads and cakes All delicious. Sunday is a buffet where you can help you self. I prefer the week days where you order from the menu as it is piping hot and freshly cooked to order but I know many people like to return to the buffet again... More

When visiting Nevis the hog roast evening here is a must. Make sure you book up in advance so you are not disappointed. The hog was roasted to perfection and was moist and tasty. For the vegetarians there were a whole host of Caribbean salads which also accompanied the pork. As well as pork the night we ate there we... More

We went to The Hermitage for the West Indian Feast they host on Wednesday evenings. We got there a little early to check out the place and enjoy a beverage in the great room before dinner. We spent some time chatting with the owner Richie and learned as much as we could about the property. He was extremely nice as... More

Went for the pig/hog roast a regular event each Wednesday. It was in the evening so I don't think we got to see the full effect of the views or the surroundings as it was dark. But the main house was fascinating, stepping back in time & very colonial. Dinner was fixed first course (great soup) & fixed dessert. Main... More

A great use of fresh local ingredients which are cooked and presented well. The hog roast on a Wednesday is a unique experience and also on a Friday there is a pizza night with the pizza's made with fresh dough and cooked in there own outdoor wood burning oven. On a normal night you can enjoy such delights as grilled... More

Housed in what is said to be the oldest wooden frame structure in the hemisphere, this has a great bar, world class outdoor dining, under strings of lights looking out over the garden of Hermitage. We love Friday night pizza night since the Italian wood burning pizza oven has been added. Wednesday night is suckling pig with an island buffet.... More

We went to the pig roast for the first time and the food, service and ambiance was good, I'm not a big fan of Buffet's as I always think that a 2nd trip is necessary. The selection was diverse with some local selections available, the pork was great. Meal and drinks came to a little more than $400.00 US.
