Small lights framed the arches of the open windows overlooking a garden. Get there early to enjoy the quaint bar. The dinner was presented on the dining room table, and we helped ourselves to... The pig roast Wednesday evenings is not to be missed. Besides a greeting by a complete roasted pig, the meal is accompanied by a full buffet of Caribbean and traditional dishes and complemented by an excellent selection of wines. All of this is served in a rustically elegant, old-world-plantation setting. The Hermitage is relatively easy to find--certainly compared to other... More

We nearly stayed here so I was keen to go for lunch to see what it would have been like. The food was good especially the pizza however the portions were enormous far too large for lunch. Despite the restaurant being almost empty service was slow and not particularly friendly.

We only went to the Hermitage for the Pig Roast dinner, it was amazing. Such a memorable experience- everything about it. We love a pig roast in general, but it was really fun to do it Caribbean style. The Inn has such charm, you can meander around before dinner for a drink, sit on the porch and look around. The... Where to begin. While visiting friends, we were told how traditionally great the food and service were here, so we were looking forward to a delicious XMas Eve dinner. Drinks were served in a lovely room, but the hours went on, and as there were no offerings of appetizers or food, everyone was getting very hungry. We were finally seated... More

We visited for the Wednesday night Caribbean buffet dinner. I won't go into what's on the menu as Richard does a better job of this than I could. But what I will say is there is a vast amount of choice and all dishes you would expect to get when dining in the Caribbean. So whilst in Nevis a Wednesday... More

Our family of 7 went to the West Indian buffet last night and had a wonderful time. We had been earlier in the day and seen them preparing the hog for the roast. The kitchen staff were incredibly friendly and explained the preparation process to us in great detail. We had probably the best rum punch on the Island, followed... More
