A chance booking resulted in the most amazing food and ambiance of the whole trip. If you are looking for a fantastic experience then an evening at the great house is a must. The staff were excellent, Patterson in particular was so accommodating, ensuring our 18 month old daughter was entertained and looked after. We were initially concerned about taking... More

Our party of 8 visited last night for dinner. We go regularly when on Island and know many of the wonderful staff. There was a visiting chef from Puerto Rico, Marrisoll, who, with Chef Tony from Nisbets created the BEST meal I have ever eaten anywhere on Nevis since I started coming 15 years ago. There was a mango theme... More

We partook of not one but two Thursday night beach bbqs at Nisbet during our recent month-long stay in Nevis. From the welcoming rum punch or wine to the incredible dessert buffet everything was delicious. Our first visit was in mid-March, the end of the peak season. The place was packed and everyone seemed to be having a great time.... More

The Great House was our first dinner on Nevis and once we experienced all of the other restaurants we realized it was just average. Food is good, not great. Nothing remarkable. Service was ordinary with some hints of indifference. Skip this, there are better places on Nevis for food.

Don't be confused. The Great House is only open for dinner. Coconuts (only breakfast mainly for guests) and Sea Breeze (beach bar for lunch) are also at Nisbet and aren't bad but they are not the Great House. The Great House serves candlelit four course meals in a romantic historic plantation house. We ate there all five nights we were... More

We went to the beach bbq with another couple and could not have been more disappointed in the food. The buffet items were cold and of low quality. The seafood from the grill was served undercooked. We left in 45 minutes after a long taxi ride. The dessert table was an absolute joke (3 small desserts including a flan). Come... More

The food was gourmet and the most delicious I've eaten anywhere in the world. All three restaurants provided us with a large variety of vegan and gluten-free choices for all three meals a day, and we were there for nine days. The staff was joyful and took excellent care of us.

I have had dinner here for the last 7 nights and it has always been exquisite. The menu is fresh and changes daily. The maître d, Patterson, is friendly and inviting. I found the food to be on par with Ruth's Chris, but with more imagination. I understand those reluctant to pay $75/pp, but Nevis is expensive. A typical lunch... More

We drove over to Nisbet one night for dinner, and started out at the bar. It was nice, and the staff seemed very helpful. It was not what we were looking for - seemed a bit dull and stuffy - and the decor struck us as tired English 1960's. Obviously this place appeals to a lot of people, but we... More

We visited The Great House for dinner at the start of our trip, and returned for lunch at The Sea Breeze. Both were delicious. All food is rather expensive on Nevis, but all of the plantation inns do provide excellent service and quality ingredients to go along with these prices. Don't be put off by the grand-looking restaurant - even... More
