Situated on the edge of the Rainforest Bananas is casual fun dining in a magical setting. We take our food very seriously but it is good home cooking prepared by hard working local ladies, not fancy or Gourmet.. However our menu is very creative and we use only fresh ingredients and where possible free range organic produce and meats. We have Magnificent Sunset views from our Firefly lounge and a superb selection of cocktails and old rums and a small selection of cuban Cigars.

This is by far the slickest service on the island. Not my favourite(double deuce takes that prize) but amazing food and service, great music and the American lady who runs the place is formidable. We could have been anywhere in the world with this high standard.

We were on a private charter that sailed to Nevis. When we got there we had to find a place for dinner. Very few places were listed on the map we had. First one was closed and Banana's answered. Made reservations for 10, they arranged for a cab. $8 per couple round trip! He came in a comfortable air conditioned... More

Bananas was our favorite restaurant whilst visiting Nevis. I called ahead of time to make sure they had their fabulous coconut cake available for my husband's birthday. He LOVES it! The food is delicious and the surroundings are wonderful.

Lovely setting up the hill with incredibly bad road and limited parking. Lovely building and settings. Two dogs wandered around and stopped by the table - we love dogs so that was okay. Prices are commensurate with what you pay on these small islands where everything is imported. The conch au gratin had too much sherry (I guess that was... More

Excellent place to watch the sunset, it's a deck above the tree line, also a fine Caribbean restaurant. We had dinner here of Jerk Wahoo, great fish. It's expensive here but worth it.

I felt like Jane of the Jungle! Beautiful luxurious jungle atmosphere. Very nice staff. A bit difficult to find but you will want to find it. Flavors were unique and very tasty - especially the clams.

Bananas is in a spectacular location nestled high up on the Mt. Nevis right next to the Hamilton Estates. The drive is relatively long and cumbersome (the roads around Bananas are as bad as some country roads in the UK) from the Four Seasons but is definitely worth it. We went on my Dad's birthday (August 1st) and had an... More

When visiting Nevis you must take the drive up to Bananas. The restaurant has spectacular views so be sure to arrive at dusk to catch sunset views. For some local fare you have to try the Goat Water, the local spices makes this dish quite unique.

This place is beautiful! Had it to ourselves and the manager took great care of us. Drinks were spectacular and the chips out of this world. wish we would have had time to eat dinner but had to get back.
