Situated on the edge of the Rainforest Bananas is casual fun dining in a magical setting. We take our food very seriously but it is good home cooking prepared by hard working local ladies, not fancy or Gourmet.. However our menu is very creative and we use only fresh ingredients and where possible free range organic produce and meats. We have Magnificent Sunset views from our Firefly lounge and a superb selection of cocktails and old rums and a small selection of cuban Cigars.

Restaurant in the Jungle!

Great native dishes. Fresh grilled seafood and GREAT rum punch! Beautiful rooftop deck with unparalleled views and sunsets. Nice place for a sunset cocktail and snack!

What an absolutely charming restaurant with outstanding food! My husband and I enjoyed a lovely evening, with excellent, personal service throughout. Our food was absolutely delicious (I had braised ribs that absolutely melted in my mouth). Highly recommend getting there before sunset to enjoy a cocktail on their rooftop. The inside of the restaurant is incredibly quaint, as well.

The setting is storybook. The service is attentive without being intrusive. The rum collection is worth spending a day sampling. The food is outstanding. A group of 9 and not a single complaint - kids included.

WE heard so much about this place, thought it was a must do, we were very disappointed. View and ambience are lovely but service in the restaurant was slow and not great. Wine list was marginal at best, had a nice fish but was served with a big serving of white rice? I can make white rice at home and... More

I am truly sorry you were disappointed...I am not sure what happened ? The service is not normally slow? yes we do serve basmati rice with our fish..and yes we do have a dog...who does sit and try to hypnotise you with her appealing eyes...I am sorry she bothered you ..we do not like it when we disappoint. In fact, I ate there two nights in a row. Fantastic food, service and experience. I wouldn't miss it when visiting the island.

My husband surprised me with a trip to Nevis for my 50th Birthday last month. We are foodies (my husband is an amazing cook), and a comfortable atmosphere with fabulous cocktails is always high up on the list. Prior to visiting Bananas we had dined at a few other high end establishments on the island which we we enjoyed, but... More

We went here on a recommendation from a taxi driver. Up in the hills, it has an amazing view across the Caribbean Sea and behind you, up to the peak. The decor was island-stylish, with deep blue walls and one whole side open to the view. There is a top deck for drinks and dinner is served down below. We... More

Close place to eat dinner from 4seasons. Go early for Sunset...all the entrees were good in our group plus very friendly service.

We had heard from a friend about this wonderful restaurant and could see it on our map of Nevis but it is NOT easy to find. It's in the jungle up Mt. Nevis and it is beautiful! The food is splendid and the service is friendly. We chatted with the owner who has a great story and has created a... More

Fabulous view from the treetop gallery, peaceful and enveloping tropical surroundings. This is an intimate, well thought out restaurant and in stark contrast to many of the other restaurants on Nevis. An interesting menu, good food, not cheap but then all of the good restaurants and some of the bad are expensive. Try the ginger beer (it's not beer, nor... More
