Description: Situated on the edge of the Rainforest Bananas is casual fun dining in a magical setting. We take our food very seriously but it is good home cooking prepared by hard working local ladies, not fancy or Gourmet.. However our menu is very creative and we use only fresh ingredients and where possible free range organic produce and meats. We have Magnificent Sunset views from our Firefly lounge and a superb selection of cocktails and old rums and a small selection of cuban Cigars.

I can't say enough about its deliciousness of the menu. Wow what a selection. We were joined by a friend and his 10 yr old son( a picky eater) and even found something he liked. Cute little art shop with pieces from local artists, lots of fun to browse.

The food here was fantastic and the owner took the time to speak with all of us (we were a group of about 20) and explain the dishes and her overall ideas about her restaurant and the city - extremely interesting

Ate dinner there last night. The four of us had lamb, steak, lobster with pasta, and the local fish. Everyone was extremely pleased with the selections, and the cocktails and wine were great as well. Don't try to find this place by yourself!

We met owner "Gillian" and had a little discussion on what it's like to run a restaurant on an island so dominated by The four seasons hotel. She has a great philosophy and it permeates it's way into supplier choices, staff attitude and image. Food was great and staff friendliness outstanding. I would say one of our best meals consumed... Definitely my favorite place to eat in Nevis. The menu interesting. The food cooked by local chefs well balanced and satisfying. The decor and ambience reflect the ebullient personality of the Proprietor and her huge heart.

Up in the hills behind St. George, incredible views - fantastic for a cocktail at sunset on the rooftop deck. Excellent service and wonderful Nevisian dishes. Top notch cocktails!

We had the place to ourselves for lunch in December and it was a very nice experience. I had the vegetable roti and it was very well prepared and well seasoned. The setting is fantastic and great views from the top where you can have a rum punch before your meal. Would recommend if you're on the island.

The food selection is a nice set of local dishes with a slight international flair. The food is tasty although a little pricey. The restaurant itself has a nice warm local atmosphere sitting on a veranda enjoying the sounds of the island. If you want to get away from the beach and try something new, this is certainly a place... More

Lovely location in the hills, great place for a cocktail and to watch the sunset. Not cheap but well worth a visit.

My husband and I went here for Thanksgiving dinner. We seek out unique places like Bananas, and I must say, it was the most amazing restaurant experience I have had in a few years. Everything from the shabby chic ambiance, relaxed Latin music to the incredible menu and service. I felt like I was in in 5 star tree house.... More
