Situated on the edge of the Rainforest Bananas is casual fun dining in a magical setting. We take our food very seriously but it is good home cooking prepared by hard working local ladies, not fancy or Gourmet.. However our menu is very creative and we use only fresh ingredients and where possible free range organic produce and meats. We have Magnificent Sunset views from our Firefly lounge and a superb selection of cocktails and old rums and a small selection of cuban Cigars.

Lovely location

Nice location for views, food good quality, little craft shop at the site. Good for sundowner drinks viewing the coastline. Food not cheap but good.

Fantastic destination in Nevis. We arrived to the restaurant around 5:30 p.m. and sat on the deck enjoying cocktails and conversation with the other patrons while the sun set. The views were tremendous. After viewing the sunset we were showed downstairs for dinner. The food was fantastic and the service was the best of any place we visited in Nevis.... More

Nestled in the hills this beautiful restaurant and lush gardens now has a roof top deck for viewing spectacular Nevis sunsets. After cocktails on the roof we settled in the restaurant for an excellent dinner. The decor of wicker and whimsy and local art is like no where else. It was my birthday....I won't spoil anyone else's surprise but I... More

Went for the sun set and stayed for the meal....In fact did it twice we loved it so much...Loved the deck and cocktails (order a Hot as Haiti). The menu has a selection of local and "western" dishes. We loved the local starter to share. Staff could not be more gracious and welcoming. (surprised by this considering the numbers of... More

Last night we drove up the hill to Bananas full of expectation and anticipation. We have been on Nevis two weeks now and I said from my earliest research on where to eat that this was on I wanted to try. Partly it was the good reviews, and partly it was the absolutely brilliant replies to the not so good... More

We enjoyed a great lunch here en-route from the ferry port to our hotel in Gingerland. The restaurant is situated on the Hamilton Estate around 10 minutes cab ride from Charlestown. The setting is idyllic, a colourful, characterful property overlooking acres of beautiful forest. Service was friendly & efficient. Food, hearty & tasty. The setting was so stunning we wanted... Nevis is a very quiet island, and it is tempting to stay at your hotel, on your beach and enjoy the sun and surf. We found this place almost by accident, overhearing a couple next to us. Bananas is located about 10 minutes from Charlestown up the side of the mountain, hidden down some small roads. You will want to... More

I can't say enough about its deliciousness of the menu. Wow what a selection. We were joined by a friend and his 10 yr old son( a picky eater) and even found something he liked. Cute little art shop with pieces from local artists, lots of fun to browse.

The food here was fantastic and the owner took the time to speak with all of us (we were a group of about 20) and explain the dishes and her overall ideas about her restaurant and the city - extremely interesting
