Description: Situated on the edge of the Rainforest Bananas is casual fun dining in a magical setting. We take our food very seriously but it is good home cooking prepared by hard working local ladies, not fancy or Gourmet.. However our menu is very creative and we use only fresh ingredients and where possible free range organic produce and meats. We have Magnificent Sunset views from our Firefly lounge and a superb selection of cocktails and old rums and a small selection of cuban Cigars.

It was the second to last day of our honeymoon when I was talking to a seasoned couple about romantic places to dine on Nevis. Sure, my new wife and I had a great time at Nisbet Plantation, but we were looking for something spectacular. The lady says to me, "No, don't go to the Golden Rock, go to Bananas."... More

We has a wonderful lunch at Bananas! Excellent rum punch but even better food. We got the taste of Nevis platter to share along with the lobster pasta. The pasta was excellent, but the real treat was the sampling of different dishes that are familiar to the island. Don't be afraid of the "goat water"-it was amazing! We enjoyed walking... More

Read reviews and told my wife that we had to go. Went yesterday with wife and family. First, it's a ways up the mountain to get there....in a secluded area, but that's ok. The atmosphere is out of this world! A beautiful array of foliage greets you and escorts you throughout the restaurant. We were greeted by the beautiful Ophelia,... More

We have visited Bananas on several occasions , it's always a must when we visit Nevis. The food is excellent, the staff charming and attentive and I love the location which is a bit off the beaten track. We would never miss eating there when on island and neither should you!

We had a wonderful experience at Bananas Bistro, located in a lush garden up a mountain side in Nevis with lovely views of the sea far below. Even if the food was average, it's worth going for the experience. But the food is excellent. I was served the best gorgonzola cheese gnocci I have ever had. The vegetable Thai curry... More

Bananas combines wonderful food, stunning views and a welcome second to none. From the moment you arrive, you are warmly greeted as you park your car and meander up the torch lit pathway. The restaurant is decorated with local art work and all of the staff are very welcoming and clearly enjoy what they do. Above the restaurant is a... More

The rave reviews are deserved, and I don't say that lightly. The atmosphere from the greeting at the arch with twinkle lights, torch lighted walkway and lights throughout the trees begins your evening with a sense of romance. We started with the signature Bertini, okay we had two, which were a delicious combination of the sweet passion fruit juice and... More

Amazing views from the mountains. We enjoyed a cocktail on the rooftop deck to watch the sunset prior to dinner. The staff is very pleasant and attentive. Our table split a dish of tannia fritters since none of us had ever heard of it. Very good. Similar to a potato fritter. I really enjoyed my salad with fresh goat cheese,... More

A charming restaurant with interesting cocktails and appetizers. Dinner was well prepared and the service was impeccable. Beautiful plants and flowers line the walkway to the entrance. A beautiful sunset can be seen from the bar upstairs- great for picture taking! ***I recommend taking a cab. The day we rented a car, we tried driving to Banana's and became lost... More
