Ranked #22 of 36 restaurants in Nevis
Certificate of Excellence 2013
Price range: $1 - $27
Cuisines: Contemporary
Dining options: Breakfast/Brunch, Reservations
Description: Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. The perfect dining location right on the beach. Reservations are recommended in the high season. Unlike most restaurants, we insist on serving FRESH FISH. Lobster, Tuna, Wahoo and Mahi Mahi are brought right into our dock from the game fishing boats and kept on ice, never frozen. We believe in promoting "farm to the plate" and work closely with local farmers to ensure a FRESH supply of vegetables and salads. Our local tomatoes are ridiculously tasty!. We work with the Ministry of Agriculture on the supply of locally grown , grass fed, organic beef and have created the demand for a tender, tasty hybrid cross between the Zebu and Red Pole cattle breeds. Again this is always FRESH and never frozen. Our dinner menu changes daily to incorporate what local foods are available and always has at least one Gluten free and one Vegan dish.

We were nervous about going here, based on some of the reviews we read before our trip. We thought the negative reviews were unfounded. We had lunch here twice during our week-long stay on Nevis and had positive experiences both times. We walked up to the bar to order for ourselves sometimes, but what the heck, you're on a Caribbean... More

I stayed at Oualie with my mom for eight nights, and eating in the open air bar and restaurant was one of our favorite parts of the trip! From our first breakfast to our late night order of sweet potato fries the night before an early return flight, the service was outstanding. The menu offered enough variety that I was... More

Our family stayed here for a week, so we had breakfast each day, and several lunches and dinners here as well. The food is expensive, but not unreasonable considering everything is shipped in. The quality and variety of the food was also good. I liked the made to order omelet, which was cooked to perfection for me. My kids loved... More

Al and I enjoyed the company of all the ladies when we did take the time to walk over from our cottage we were staying in. Some folks may think restaurant servers don't matter, but these ladies became our friends and we could tell they cared about what they were doing for us... I must admit this trip we did... More

During out 6 days at Oualie we ate breakfast each day at the restaurant (banana pancakes, french toast, bacon and sausage) and found the food to be reasonably priced considering we're on an island where most things are imported. Some days they were out of bananas but they always had the basics. Service was very good each day, there was... More

We visited Oualie for lunch twice, and we could have been at two different restaurants. On our first visit the staff were charming, the food very good indeed. I had the crab cakes and my husband had an excellent lobster salad. As we were taking a water taxi back to St. Kitts on the final day of our stay on... More

Michelle will forget your drink 3 times and then bring you the wrong one but none of it matters...she, and the restaurant, are sweet, forgiveable and just brilliant. Dinner is a bit try hard (and it's far too hot and beachy for duck breast and lamb rack anyway) but the breakfasts and lunches are great. Crab cakes, burgers, rotis, lobster... More

This will be our only rating below 4 for any of the restaurants we went to during our week in Nevis. Pretty much the only restaurant open on Sunday night so we were stuck. Food was poor (fish balls were fishy and the hamburger was tasteless.)Service ordinary. Skip this place if you can.

I eat out a lot and I understand sometimes service isn't always up there but the service here is not good. I would not go back unless I had no other option, food isn't seasoned well..., it is nicely situated and could be amazing but a lot of work to do with staff.

We just stayed at Oualie Beach Resort and at at their restaurant several times. Their food was very well presented and flavorful. The portion size was a little on the small size but the prices are reasonable compared to other island restaurants. The view from the tables is spectacular. The joining bar is a great spot to relax and meet... More
