We had read some reviews here and they were spot on with recommending this place. Amazing local food prepared fresh while you enjoy amazing views of the water. We had two beers, shrimp entree, and chicken entree all for $40. On land that would cost you double if not more. The employees are fun to talk to and it was... More

We found this place by accident. Lincoln (the manager/owner) approached us when we got out of our taxi. The bar is little more than a beach shack and is painted in vibrant Rastafarian colours. Bar staff consists of other family members. Alcohol was well priced, with imported beers coming in at around $4 each. Opt for the local beers -... More

Stop looking for the beach bar dive. You've found it! The Lion and his lair will take great care of Watch out for the "lion juice" which has a close resemblance to pain killers. It will always devour its prey! Ask for some extra "horny dust" on top!

Authentic Carribean beach bar, wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, and friendly staff. Simple food, and reasonably priced drinks. We hired beach chairs in front of the bar and enjoyed the reggae tunes as we sampled the Lion Punch. Life doesn't get much better!

We drove to Cockelshell beach and came across this bar. It is a very authentic old bar with many flags hanging from the roof. The owner came out and served us some beers and told us he was the only bar on this beach until about 6 years ago when many other bars moved in and took some of his... More

I love to visit Lion's. It is a place like no other. Very rustic and traditional. It makes you happy to not be in a commercialized, trendy restaurant. The food made by Lion himself is amazing.

There are many places along Cockleshell Beach but we chose Lion Rock based on Tripadvisor reviews. The taxi ride from the port is about $8 one way if you share with others. These are really beach shacks but they provide good food, drinks and service. We had a wonderful time there, 2 chairs and the man made umbrella were $10.... More

After reading the positive reviews of this shack on Cockleshell Beach, we made a beeline there for lunch after leaving our cruise ship. What a mistake. Yes, the view is beautiful, and you can lie in the sun or shade. You also can sit at picnic tables in the shack. Here's what happened: Of the 4 of us, 2 ordered... More

Wonderful oasis on the beach. Not fancy but worth the trip.the BBQ chicken and ribs were Devine. The plate is filled with potato, veggies, plantain and their signature coconut slaw. The view looking out towards Nevis is worth a million bucks. Prices here are reasonable and the Lion Punch at $4 A glass is a real bargain. Take my word for... More
