Description: phone 869 466 8871 A bit off the beaten path, but only 1/4 miles from the cruise ship port. Fantastic, authentic caribbean food. Very casual, screened-porch setting. This is where the locals dine and it's totally worth checking out. One of the best meals we had in the islands.

We would probably have missed it if the taxi driver had not stopped to pick up his lunch. Real Caribbean flavour at a reasonable price. Plenty of local people eating here.

When we asked folks to recommend a local restaurant, most recommended this place. After going down town for our food, I can understand why. The food is tasty without too much sauce and the patrons are very friendly and accommodating. If you want good local food, you should go here as well

Friendly and warm greeting. Cold drinks and good food! Beef soup was good, red snapper and garlic conch were tasty. Skip the ribs, there are better places to eat ribs, but everything else was very good.

All four of us had a wonderful meal. The food was plentiful, delicious, and a great price point. The owner of the restaurant spent a lot of time helping us understand the game of cricket. It was a fantastic experience. Our Taxi driver suggested this restaurant. It is on the outskirts of Bassetterre so we walked through the town afterwards.

Really enjoyed this place. Not fancy or and well priced, but fun, local themed food. Frankly, appeared to be many locals picking up food and eating here.

If you want local food and reasonable prices make sure you eat at El Fredo's. They have fish, shrimp and chicken or for really local they have salt fish with "provisions" which is dumplings, green banana, yellow yam, white yam, breadfruit, plantains, pumpkin, and cornmeal fritter. Delicious!!

The other reviews were indeed accurate. It was the best food I had all week in St . Kitts and yet it wasn't as pricey. If you want to eat like a local then make sure you pay them a visit. Atmosphere it rather cozy and service was pretty quick.

If you want to taste Caribbean food as it should be, then make a visit. Great local food for a good price. Located on the edge of town, it is well worth a visit. Service is average (but by no means bad) but you can hold a good conversation with the owner. Local people also eat here which is always... More

Our driver recommended El Fredo's as a good restaurant to visit during our stay. We checked it out today for lunch (FYI: restaurant hours are 11am to 4pm Monday through Saturday). We arrived around 1:30 and we were the first to be seated indoors which is still considered outdoors but it is fenced in with mosquito net covering. There was... More
