phone 869 466 8871 A bit off the beaten path, but only 1/4 miles from the cruise ship port. Fantastic, authentic caribbean food. Very casual, screened-porch setting. This is where the locals dine and it's totally worth checking out. One of the best meals we had in the islands.

Great food!

El Fredo's definitely lives up to all the reviews . I had the grilled shrimp and my boyfriend had the mutton . Both were very good and my boyfriend was in heaven with the mutton and mashed bananas . Price was very reasonable and the staff were very friendly and attentive .

I was had lunch there several times and every time it satisfied my stomach. The material of food is fresh,I had tried fish, mutton, chicken, and go for different side dish: dumpling, rice, corn meal. Moreover, if you are there you should order ginger beer and soursop, it is nice to experience a local drink.

Our private island tour guide recommended this place and we were very pleased with the food and service. I had the creole chicken breast with rice and beans and it was very tasty and satisfying. The dish came with a small, fried plantain and pumpkin fritter along with lettuce and tomato. Others in my group had the swordfish with provisions... More

Friendly and knowledgable family restaurant. Authentic cuisine with a gourmet touch. Enjoyed by both locals and well traveled tourists. Conveniently located to ship port, Zante. Relaxed and fresh atmosphere. Wise usage of local ingredients in both main course, drinks, and deserts. Served personally by restaurant owners. Highly recommend the sour sop "Anonas", (I am not a spelling prodigy) the mutton... More

My husband and I were on Day 2 of our Southern Caribbean cruise, and enjoying the intimate company of 12 people on our shore excursion - sailing and snorkeling. One of our fellow travelers managed a seafood restaurant back home, and we started talking about how we couldn't find any good seafood on the cruise ship. Raphael, one of our... More

This is the best local food we have had so far during our 2 week stay in St Kitts. Most people were business people. We went for lunch and had fish. Next time I would try the BBQ . It smelled so good. The menu changes daily and is a short walk from the center of town.

Popped in here as we were looking for somewhere different for lunch. While nothing spectacular from the outside it was much better on the inside. Great menu of local food and drinks at very good prices. The chicken dishes were especially tasty! El Fredo's is walking distance from the main town area but we did see people park on the... More

If you want to feel the real flavor of where you are, go here, walking distant back to our ship after we left Leeward's excursion. Chef is someone who also came to the area one day, loved it and never left. Let the server (or Raphael) recommend what to order. Try the local food rather than something you know. You... More

Don't be fooled by the run down appearance on the outside at this restaurant on the coast just past the Zante docks. the food is good open just for lunch, and drinks are great. Prices are fair, this has been around for years so that tells you something
