Description: Sprat net is wonderful restaurant located approximately 20 minutes north of Basseterre in Old Road Village. It is right on the water and is open for dinner. The owners are fishermen who go out in the morning and then serve their daily catch in the evening. They serve bbq lobster, ribs, chicken, steamed catch of the day fish, and wonderful pizzas. It is casual with ample seating and a beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea. Prices range from $10US to $30US for dinner. They also have a full bar.

We come to St. Kitts often and we eat at Sprat Net several times during our stay. The plate of food you get is incredible for the price. It's always tasty and the Johnny cakes are to die for!! The staff always greet you with a warm smile and you get your food rather quickly. Can't wait to go back!... More

We came to eat here at the suggestion of our driver on a Wednesday evening as it is two for the price of one. Any two entrees, limited menu but all very fresh. They catch their fish right off their ships and then hold them in crates in the ocean until they need them. Lobsters, shrimp, and sea bass, etc. All... More

We went to Sprat Net with an open mind after reading lots of Trip Advisor reviews and weren't disappointed! The relaxed and friendly environment was the ideal way to spend the evening! It wasn't busy when we visited on a Sunday evening, so waiting for the food wasn't a problem. We had a change from fish, having eaten it for... More

Like many places on St. Kitts, Sprat Net is a laid back island restaurant serving good food in a large covered 'shack' of sorts. The regulars clearly know the system, which is easy enough to follow once you do it, but the first time it was a little confusing. You get a drink and then get in line to place... More

This unassuming place is on the narrow (rather frightening at night) main road leading from Basseterre to many of the more famous locations along the southwest coast of St. Kitts. Because it is adjacent to a fish market where locals bring their daily catch there could be no fresher fish than those on the menu. The food was cooked to... More

The ambiance is great. It is located more or less on the beach. The compound is huge and menu for food is different. Although the regular lobster, ribs, fish etc is prepared, it is served differently with johnny bakes and corn on the cob. A large screen is there for watching sports or movies. Sometimes live shows are held, Its... More

We have relatives in St Kitts so visit Sprat Net whenever we are on the island. Lobster was great as usual and portion of ribs was enormous. The quality of the food is great, our service was a little delayed this time but no grouses as the staff were apologetic and kept us informed - and we weren't in a... More

a little confusion on how the whole place operates upon our arrival. Once we got it figured out, we ordered a drink, made our way to the bbq area and placed our order. it took a while to be ready but it was worth the wait. This place is a lot of fun and the food is awesome

Anyone that says this is not a good place to eat is out of there mind. The service is good even if it takes some time. Who cares you are on vacation not back in the convenience of the city. Prices are reasonable not to over the top. Food is very good. Will always go back. This is our fourth... More

We visited the Sprat Net upon the recommendation of Fodor's 2014 Caribbean guide and the owner of the apartment we were staying at in St. Kitts. They weren't quite ready to begin cooking when we arrived so we ordered a drink and watched the sun set. We placed our order and sat at a picnic table. This is an open-air... More
