Sprat net is wonderful restaurant located approximately 20 minutes north of Basseterre in Old Road Village. It is right on the water and is open for dinner. The owners are fishermen who go out in the morning and then serve their daily catch in the evening. They serve bbq lobster, ribs, chicken, steamed catch of the day fish, and wonderful pizzas. It is casual with ample seating and a beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea. Prices range from $10US to $30US for dinner. They also have a full bar.

Great place for ribs and pizza

I'm not a fan of lobster and the people I go with don't usually eat it but Spratnet has always been known for 2 things, their ribs and lobster. They've relatively recently added pizza to the mix and a lot of the friends I go with have switched from ribs to pizza now. Go on a Wednesday night but... read more

The jolly buzzing atmosphere instantly put you in the right mood; orders were quickly taken and equally quickly presented; an ample plateful of tasty food including grilled lamb with corn on the cob and salad. The harbour looked enchanting with a large white ship gleaming in the fading light and then gliding away with all its lights glowing. A live... More

My daughter who is going to school in St. Kitts took me here on an off night. Lobster baked potato and beer is the staple. Awesome and reasonable. While there wasn't this night, my daughter told me that they have a band playing too. I'd definitely like to go back on a night they have music.

Several locals suggested we try Sprat Net for an evening meal due to its great seafood. We decided to try it on a Wednesday evening when they had a band playing. We hired a taxi to take our small group of four to the restaurant on the NW side of St. Kitts. First, the real attraction is the stunning view... More

I have never tasted such superb snapper, a large fillet, totally fresh and superbly cooked. Somewhat loud music meant concentration was on food rather than conversation. We repaired outside to the seafront to continue the dialogue.

From placing order to receiving dinner the turn around is very quick and the staff are extremely efficient, kind, courteous and helpful. The live band on some nights is not a "too-loud-lemme-get-outta here" kinda way. It still allows conversation while swaying to the music. They even allow children to dance . The fish they serve is live catch and the... More

Eat like the locals! Nice, open air dining with amazing sunset views! Menu is written on a chalkboard as it is based on whatever the local fishermen catch that day. Get there early to see the sunset, place your order, get a drink at the bar, and grab a picnic table! Your meal comes on a paper plate with plastic... More

The food was good but most of the clientel was students from the islands medical/vet schools. They were enjoying themselves and there was a little too many people smoking (cigarettes) for my family's liking. The food was tasty. We had lobster, chicken, ribs, shrimp and swordfish. The live band was good. Great place if you're out for a good time.

The drive from Frigate Bay was great. Sunsets & Seafood were the best I had. Friday after dark has a local vibe & great reggae.
