Sprat net is wonderful restaurant located approximately 20 minutes north of Basseterre in Old Road Village. It is right on the water and is open for dinner. The owners are fishermen who go out in the morning and then serve their daily catch in the evening. They serve bbq lobster, ribs, chicken, steamed catch of the day fish, and wonderful pizzas. It is casual with ample seating and a beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea. Prices range from $10US to $30US for dinner. They also have a full bar.

Good local carribean food

They were enjoying themselves and there was a little too many people smoking (cigarettes) for my family's liking. The food was tasty. We had lobster, chicken, ribs, shrimp and swordfish. The drive from Frigate Bay was great. Sunsets & Seafood were the best I had. Friday after dark has a local vibe & great reggae.

If you are a long time visitor to St Kitts, you will remember when the drive to Sprat Net's was the beginning of a great evening. Some of you will remember purchasing a loaf of bread across the road before entering Marcus' establishment. Now, driving yourself along the coastal road at night is unsafe. Take a taxi if you must... when they say fresh fish they arent kidding. Fish arrived in a cooler right from fisherman's boat, and you pick the one you want, fish, shellfish, lobster. then they cook it there in front of you on the beach, VERY CASUAL and INEXPENSIVE. a must go.

We loved this place! The menu is simple...Choose your meat choice and they cook it up and served it with a small baked potato, a couple of scones, a small ear of corn. It's soooo good! The atmosphere is casual, but great! Beautiful place to watch the sunset over the ocean. Live music several times a week, background music otherwise.... More

Go on a Wednesday night to hear great local talent playing a mix of reggae, jazz, and blues in a relaxed informal atmosphere by the water in Old Road town, or check their facebook page for times and events. Great value if you are looking for something less formal - bar and grille with excellent food.

We were taken here at our cab driver's suggestion, and it was really fun. Outstanding lobster dinner, reasonably priced, on the ocean at a picnic table. Food was prepared and delivered promptly, and the staff was super friendly. Loved this place.

The setting is rustic with picnic tables under an awning and outside. The sunsets can be absolutely breathtaking. Now for the food. Go to Sprat Net for the fresh fish. What they serve is what the local fishermen happen to catch that day. Today's specials were swordfish and lobster. The sides are nothing to talk about (half of a baked... More
