What I totally imagined would be a shack on the beach! Great place that the locals hang out at! The food was ok, but the views and what I call (Gilligan's Island Bar) were a true St Kitts experience. For my kids the monkeys that come every day between 3:30-5:00 were a Great treat!

Spent the afternoon here great atmosphere plenty of buzz. Bar is situated on The far end of South Friars beach, narrow strip at this end but the bar atmosphere and outlook is great. Nice walk possible down the beach where there are other bars as well and eventually leads to the beach club at the other end of the beach.

The beach is narrow and the whole place looks run down but turns out to be a great place to spend an afternoon lazing in the sun and enjoying the excellent cooking. Always friendly and welcoming. The usual fare of bbq ribs or chicken or fish, but tasty.

We were brought here by one of the locals who said it was a great non-touristy place to hang out and eat. He was so right. It was very relaxed and friendly. The drinks were great and not expensive. We had the fish tacos and they were excellent. Very juicy and tasty. Came with a nice salad and rice. The... More

Just what we were looking for food, good drink, sunbeds and sand! Highly recommend chilling out here. We were on a cruise at the time and spent our day here, easy in a taxi getting back and forth the port.

Shipwreck is located on South Friar's Beach on ST. Kitts. It opens around 10:30 am and closes around dusk. The views are incredible and there is a decent bar type menu with a few dinner entrée offerings to please most any taste. On this trip I ordered their soft chicken tacos. The two tortillas were both stuffed with chicken, cheese,... More

We travel to St. Kitts at least once a year and have been doing so for about 10 years. Our vacation is never complete without at least a couple of days or sunsets at Shipwreck. The staff is outstanding, drinks are great, monkeys are over the top and the snorkeling along the reef in front of the bar is quite good.... We go to this bar and each everytime we are in St. Kitts. It's where the locals go including some mongoose and wild monkeys. Fish tacos are the best food stuff and the cold drinks are always available. Live Music on Sunday nights. We rented paddle boards right there from SUP St. Kitts and where we met Michael the owner... The place looks a bit like a shipwreck but the setting is great, the bar staff are friendly and there are local, expats, who come to this place. It's really hard to put a finger on what makes this a good bar but they have the 'je ne sais quoi' I went a few times during my trip and always... More

Order a cool Teng with a Sting and try to see the Green Flash here. Good view with some good pics with the monkeys. Reasonable priced too.
