I have been to Taikun a few times, and each time I find myself wondering how I could spend so much and receive a mediocre experience. Don't get me wrong, the food is great--I especially love the sushi there. If you enjoy trying sushi, this is one of the best places to get a fix in Cayman. However, unlike the... More

Must try the Omakase tasting on Wed night (reduced price). Everything was delicious and staff was gracious and helpful. My husband went in skeptical and came out living Sushi!

This little restaurant is tucked away in a small lounge by the lobby of the Ritz. The roll selection was creative and delicious. The waiter recommended the local catch usuzukuri and it was to amazing!!

If your looking for high end fresh sushi then look no further. While expensive you get what you pay for. Remember this is Cayman not Tokyo or New York so don't go their expecting toro. The fish is fresh and the rolls quite good. Remember the islands food to me is just ok but this is pretty good and the... More

This restaurant could be one of the top restaurants....The waiters are not always in the know, and are always worried....not to perform which takes away from the experience.....Having said that the food is wonderful......I love Taikun...I WISH the waiters were consistent and knew more about sushi....

Spectacular service, great sake choices, very fresh fish prepared expertly. Try the omakase and let the chef dazzle you!

Big fans of Sushi, and this was a bit of a disappointment. we very much liked the atmosphere reminded us of being back home in NYC however, the food was not all that great. The Sushi rolls were not interesting nor was the fish inside of them. We regularly go for sushi and spending 250$ US is normal in the... More

We stayed at the Ritz, and ate here for a special occasion. We choose the earliest reservation since we have a baby and the restaurant didn't have many other customers at this time, however as our dinner went on, they became more crowded. The space is very beautiful, with excellent decor. We enjoyed our veggie options very much, the presentation... More

In the Ritz Carlton, on Seven Mile Beach. A wonderful mile, great location for Romantic occasion or business meeting. The sushi was fresh, super tasty and with some great signature Maki dishes. The service was amazing; Shiva was so helpful & friendly, Anna a gem and the Maitre D (German guy, but cannot remember his name) was best of all.... More

First of all I'm an avid sushi/sashimi fan so i may be a bit over critical. Wife and I was staying at the ritz and decided went here for dinner. Extensive sake menu , complementary miso soup was great but it also came with a lime wedge which I thought was weird but to each his own. Fresh hand grated... More
