This restaurant could be one of the top restaurants....The waiters are not always in the know, and are always worried....not to perform which takes away from the experience.....Having said that the food is wonderful......I love Taikun...I WISH the waiters were consistent and knew more about sushi....

Spectacular service, great sake choices, very fresh fish prepared expertly. Try the omakase and let the chef dazzle you!

Big fans of Sushi, and this was a bit of a disappointment. we very much liked the atmosphere reminded us of being back home in NYC however, the food was not all that great. The Sushi rolls were not interesting nor was the fish inside of them. We regularly go for sushi and spending 250$ US is normal in the... More

We stayed at the Ritz, and ate here for a special occasion. We choose the earliest reservation since we have a baby and the restaurant didn't have many other customers at this time, however as our dinner went on, they became more crowded. The space is very beautiful, with excellent decor. We enjoyed our veggie options very much, the presentation... More

In the Ritz Carlton, on Seven Mile Beach. A wonderful mile, great location for Romantic occasion or business meeting. The sushi was fresh, super tasty and with some great signature Maki dishes. The service was amazing; Shiva was so helpful & friendly, Anna a gem and the Maitre D (German guy, but cannot remember his name) was best of all.... More

First of all I'm an avid sushi/sashimi fan so i may be a bit over critical. Wife and I was staying at the ritz and decided went here for dinner. Extensive sake menu , complementary miso soup was great but it also came with a lime wedge which I thought was weird but to each his own. Fresh hand grated... More

We were going to go to Yoshi across the street from the Ritz but instead, we decided to give Taikun a try. WOW! What a great move... Sushi was fantastic! The place was packed but we managed to get a table for 5 of us... I recommend the crab roll and their version of a crunchy roll... Delightful! Pricing is... More

After a long night doing the bioluminescent tour, we ordered some sushi for our room since Taikun is located in the Ritz. It was very good, fresh sushi. We ordered the Volcano, Spider, Dragon, and spicy tuna. Our 10 and 12 year old loved it as much as we did. Woudl have eaten there the next day but wanted to... More

I absolutely loved our experience at Taikun! We were a large crowd and a few of us tried the tasting menu which I would highly recommend. The service was excellent, cocktails delicious and sushi was first class. We'll definitely be back!

Had a lovely dinner with my other half and a good friend last week. We ate at the sushi bar which was great under the circumstances as the restaurant was packed with families for President's Week. Despite the number of people, we were served on a timely basis by delightful, professional chefs and servers. The local fish thinly sliced with... More
