Cruise-cabana

Great place to spend the day during a cruise. Easy to get a cab. They all know about Royal Palms. We arrived before 10am and the beach was already getting packed. So we made a last minute decision to rent a cabana. Our cabana was right by the entrance down to the beach, so we saw many people... read more

Busy beach restaurant. Found hair in food and all waitress could say was that it didn't look like it belonged to anyone in the kitchen - it was buried in the food and she didn't offer to take it off bill or anything.

We didn't know anything about this place. Told our shuttle driver we wanted to go to a beach bar. Holy cow, this place is perfect! You can grab drinks and go into the water and the beach with it, or they have a swim up bar also, playing tunes. Definitely a sweet place to go on the beach to drink... More

Took a short cab ride from the pier and paid a $2 admission fee. Then had to pay $8 for a chair and I believe an additional $10 for an umbrella. The beach was not that crowded and the water was gorgeous. The bar was convenient and drink prices were a lot lower than what we were used to. Pretty... More

Came here for dinner last night and it randomly changes to an Italian themed menu called Prima with unreasonably high prices. Our server told us there was no other menu to order off of when we clearly saw other guests ordering from the bar menu/royal palms. We were told this was an excellent place for dinner for the atmosphere and... More

Ji Michael, We did open Prima 2 weeks ago and the response overall has been very positive. Coastal Italian cuisine featuring fresh seafood. The calmer is served with tempura onion rings. There is a bar menu that you can order from. Sliders, pizza etc. I can not explain why the server would not tell you. I will find out what the... More

I went there to take lunch out on a day when there were only 3 ships in town. I believe half the people hadn't arrived, so I got very good service but I could imagine when all 5 ships are in and all the people that wanted to come here had arrived...packed. Anyway, I ordered the mahi sandwich and it... More

We took a short taxi ride to the Royal Palms Beach club. You are to pay $3 to enter, $8 for a chair and I believe it is $10 for an umbrella. Food and drinks were good (even though my Mojito was on the strong side ;) Be aware that prices are not in American dollars. They also have a... More

We loved Royal Palms. It was a lovely setting and a very nice meal. Very romantic if you are on a 'date night'. Our server Jackie was very attentive and friendly. My husband was very pleased to be able to get a bottle of Peroni with his meal. Wine was lovely and not bad priced by the glass. We went... More

My wife and I had no plans for Grand Cayman and thought we would just shop around the port, but after we got off the ship and saw the beautiful water and beaches we wanted to find a place to enjoy the water. I went into a shop selling rum, picked out a nice bottle and while paying I asked... More

This is a busy beach bar that attracts cruise ship visitors during the day. In the evening it is a wonderful quiet restaurant, probably our favorite on the island. Plan to arrive as the sun is setting and enjoy the afterglow. The food is innovative and delicious. The setting is beautiful and as of the week of 3/24, it was... More
