Food: Seafood stew, very salty, we asked for a new dish, server explained its pre cooked not freshly prepared Fillet of Snaper was chewy and not fresh. Hemingways offers no lobster dishes. We had a Table close to the newly open kitchen therefore witnessed Chefs communications with other staff members which been embarrassing to us and our guest. Would not... More

We spent 10 days in Grand Cayman in early December (6-15) with friends. We haven't been there in 7-8 years. A lot has changed - mostly for the good. Hemingway's challenges that assertion. They had been closed for remodeling and we were there shortly after they reopened; so take this with an appropriate grain of salt. The wait staff was... More

Hemminways just reopened and the new look and feel is nice. The food is great but I think there are a few more tweaks that need to be made to get the kitchen more in sink with the servers. If time is not critical, this is a great place to eat. Inside is a bit chilly; outside is perfect!

Very disapointing december 2014, Chef must have changed, the food was wonderful the previous years. Yesterday the fish and chips was heavy in grease and testless, the red snapper dry and heavy. the whole meal was a great disapointment. And, none of the lovely desserts they used to have were offered

Ate lunch on our way to the airport - was a light and delicious lunch with views to die for! The waitress was very nice and the food was fantastic.

Hemingway's is set back a bit on the beach at the Grand Cayman Beach Suites (formerly the Hyatt). It is one of the few restaurants right on the beach, albeit you have to look past some patio and chairs/tables. The atmosphere is very nice and relaxed with outdoor seating. Good wine and drink selection and lots of seafood on the... More

A very nice restaurant with a classic Caribbean atmosphere. Sunset is the perfect time to enjoy this restaurant. The fresh calamari and bbq sirachi is a great start, and any of the fresh fish are fantastic. The drinks are a little pricey, but hey, it's the Cayman's.

Ok you expect to pay more on vacation but this island has too much competition along 7 Mile Beach to accept this mediocrity. Food was average fare and really expensive when comparing. It is easy to walk up the beach and access the restaurant but it is not a quite ambiance as it is located by the pool that has... More

We stayed at the Grand Cayman Beach Suites and took advantage of this on-site restaurant for our final vacation dinner. My overall assessment is this is a nice location, nice atmosphere, but the food was hit and miss - especially considering tough local competition and the prices for this "foodie" vacation destination. PROS Great on beach location and atmosphere. Nice... More

Called in for lunch on Friday in very pleasant surroundings. Ambience is nice. Meals are relatively priced and the Philly Steak panini was nice. My guests had fish and chips and lamb curry which were good sized portions. Excellent service. Would recommend to others.
