Was pleasantly surprised

We spend a week a year in Grand Cayman, and my 15 yr old wanted to go back to Camana Bay. We ended up eating at Karoo, and it was a very good meal. No complaints. The cheese tray was very good, we had a couple of different burgers, etc. All food was very good. Service was excellent. Great... read more

I thought the food was excellent and beautifully served - a very good range on the menu with lots of tapas options and the cocktails were great - with very reasonable prices during Happy Hour. Seating outside was very pleasant, overlooking the water within Camana Bay. Service was excellent - with a very friendly and efficient waitress and there was... More

Eating outside was nice. Good selection of food. Service was good. Nice location overlooking the playing water fountains. Food had good flavor. Nice restaurants close by for choices.

We have eaten here before, always for the Sunday Barefoot BBQ Buffet. They offer a wonderful grilled to order buffet with meats, shrimp, salads, roasted corn, desserts, etc. It is CI $25 which for a Cayman Sunday brunch is a good price. This time we came with a group of 40 for a birthday celebration. We all sat outside with the... More

Having visited Karoo several times over the years, I have mixed feelings. The setting is wonderful and the food interesting, although never really special. Service by the wait staff is decidedly uneven and it can take time to find your server to get your check. The outdoor dining section permits smoking which can be an issue for many. The food... More

We stopped during happy hour. Good mojitos (are special Mon-weds currently) for $5. Yum! We also ordered the party platter...serves four people easily. Food was good sampling of their appetizers. Mostly fried foods though.....but fun for friends to share. We didn't stay for dinner because the people next to us were so loud and drunk. Lots of profanity. Management should... More

We had the brunch buffet here; while it was busy the food was excellent and the staff stayed on top of things. Wide selections in the buffet allowed for vegetarian, gluten free and "omnivores" to eat together.

I do not like the "all you can eat" style of brunch so Karoo has a perfect brunch for me. Every year I dream of going back for the kimchi eggs benedict--simply amazing! Portions are tapas style so you can order several and share them. Everything from savory to sweet has been wonderful. They are good about keeping the unlimited... More

After our meal I came onto this website to see if others had experienced the same poor levels of service from the waiting staff, and looking at the reviews it seems to be so. Normally I'm not too bothered about service but on this occasion the waitress was stroppy, rude, and just plain difficult to such an extent that it... More

We had appetizers here, and enjoyed the fun courtyard type atmosphere. This restaurant was located in the Camana Bay development, loved the area.
