I frequent many Japanese restaurants in Toronto, and it was such a delight to dine at this restaurant on my most recent trip to Grand Cayman. Food was fresh and tasty, atmosphere is very chic, and Mr. Yoshi is a gracious host and chef! more

There's nothing special about it, maybe the decor but as far as the food goes, it's just a ordinary Japanese restaurant. I am from NY/NJ area and I think there are much better sushi places than Yoshi Sushi. more

We eat sushi one or two times a week at home in the US. We came into the restaurant and there were only two tables full. They asked us if we had a reservation, which we did not. They stood there looking around and said we could sit at the floor table (Japanese style) which I was unable to do... more

Best sushi I've had in a restaurant anywhere, the interior is very nice, with cool tables that make you think you're sat on the floor on cushions, but there are normal ones as well. Was really busy both nights we ate here, suggesting it's really popular. The menu is huge and have lots of different things to choose from, even... more

Our service, contrary to other reviews, was great. We did not have a reservation, arrived about 5:30 on a Thursday. The waitress was very enthusiastic. Took the time to explain the various sake choices. We ordered edamame and 2 other appetizers. They came out in normal time, then our 6 or 7 rolls were immediately available afterwards. The sushi was... more

I decided to give this place another go - when you live on an Island there are limited choices, and so you do have to be forgiving every so often. Unfortunately, any such effort is wasted on this place. I only ordered a take away order. When I arrived the persons at the front desk were useless - they mixed... more

Yoshi Sushi defines a hidden gem. Don't be fooled by its unassuming location in a small strip mall. We heard good things about Yoshi from a friend prior to going and we were not only surprised, we were blown away. First of all, the atmosphere is unexpectedly trendy and cool; it looks like a high end sushi place you'd find... more

Having read the reviews on TripAdvisor, I decided to visit Yoshi when I was in Cayman towards the end of April 2009. The setting is a bit strange - it looks like a galvanised shed from the outside - however once I stepped inside I was pleasantly surprised. It took some time to get seated - the Maitre D looked... more

My husband and I went to Grand Cayman in April and were delighted with Yoshi Sushi. We didn't have a reservation but were immediately seated and right at the sushi bar, though we could have had a table if we wanted. The staff was very friendly and honest about what to get. We were thinking about the 'boat' of sushi... more

This is our first time in Grand Cayman, and our first experience at Yoshi Sushi. I wish the place had more natural lighting during early evening, it seemed very dark in there. The food was average...what I would expect at a sushi place. It seemed like it was a happening place to go to for dinner. more
