Great food. Questionable staff.

Showed up with no reservation. Staff seemed upset and criticized us for not planning ahead. We were one of only two tables occupied while we were there. Attitude was completely unnecessary. However, food was fantastic. I had snapper, and the wife had the special. Cobia fish. Don't forget the... read more

We took the Marriott-promoted free Catamaran sail from Safeharbor to the restaurant on Jul-24 evening. This was our last night of a week-long visit so had high expectations of a wonderful send-off meal. *Extremely disappointed* Very poor quality food at very high prices. This is a Rainforest Cafe kind of tourist trap: it about the surroundings, not the food. The... More

What a great place to eat. Nice atmosphere and great service. Seafood was phenomenal. Would eat there on my next trip. Watch out for all the land crabs as you travel home!!!!!

First off I'm not picky. We were at a condo next door and decided to have dinner. They told us we needed reservations even though no one was in the dining area. OK, we make reservations. We got there at the designated time and again no one was in the dining area but one family. Then a boat pulls up... More

Having grown up in the Cayman Islands, Rum Point is one of my favourtie places to be on a sunday! Unfortunately this sunday I was extremely dissapointed by the attidude and service of the bar Staff. Not only was he Rude he treated me and and my friends like we're were stupid. Having a 15% service charge automatically added to... More

We stopped here for lunch as part of a snorkel tour. It was a Sunday afternoon and very busy, but service was decent considering the crowd. The food was good, not great by any means, but not bad. It feels like a very touristy place with typical bar food (at least for lunch – chicken tenders, chicken wraps, chicken sandwiches,... More

We decided to eat at the Rum Point Restaurant our last night on the island. Our server Ellory was fantastic. She interacted with my 12 year old making him blush a little. The food was top notch. We had the surf n turf and the rum flavored fillet. Sitting outside watching the sunset was also an added bonus.

I will warn anyone who has never been here - drinks at The Wreck Bar are very expensive - even for Cayman. And always avoid visiting the beach during the day on Sundays, public holidays or if 3+ cruise ships are in. It is way too busy. You are probably better off at SMB if that is where you are... More

Nice place. Simple food like burgers and local fused drinks. We had veggie burger which was delicious. Not cheap though .
