Quiet Sunday lunch

Not much is open in Spanish Town on a Sunday afternoon. But we found a real gem in Mermaid's. We had a Mahi wrap and it was very good. The view is like a postcard!

This restaurant is literally out on the water (hence the name "Dockside"). It is more a casual bar/grill type of place, rather than a restaurant. The menu is very small (three choices of main courses, a few more choices of appetizers/salads. My wife and I ordered two drinks, an a main course each. Her drink was very good, mine tasted... More

The only good thing about here is the amazing location and view. The food is limited and everything had the same jerk taste.

We were pleasantly surprised by this very laidback restaurant on the water next to CocoMaya. Delicious fresh fish, simply prepared, and other dishes were tasty as well. My budding marine biologist daughter spent most of the meal feeding scraps to the giant tarpon who haunt the (lighted) water under the dining deck looking for handouts. Wait staff was very friendly... More

The food takes a while to get out to you, but who cares with this view! We stumbled upon this place because our taxi driver stopped to drop someone off at the swanky hotel next to this restaurant, so on our way back from the Baths, we had our new taxi driver drop us off here. We had intentions of... More

Ate here for lunch and enjoyed eating on kind of a little pier over the water, Menu was quite limited , as not everything was available. and the waitress was very quiet/unfriendly but our food was ok and we had fun.

The staff and chef were so accommodating to my dietary needs. They prepared a special order of fish one night and did a curried goat another night, both were fanastic. Portions were very generous, food was very fresh. My guests who are not gluten free enjoyed their meals as well. The seafood buffet which includes lobster was a great deal!... More

While having dinner, you can watch several tarpons swimming in the water thanks to submerged lighting. Good local food and atmosphere.

Although the hours seem to be a mystery, we went for dinner on a Sunday night, and it was open and full. The fish entrees were good, I had the lime-shrimp, and others had the whole fried snapper, which they loved. It's right on the water, so great atmosphere, although the restaurant itself is very casual.
