A very special "secret" place. We've been going for 20 years or so. Absolutely wonderful ! No need to dress up, that's for sure !!
Had a very good visit for late lunch at Mad Dog Cafe. We were welcomed by Jude and were the only customers when we arrived (but not when we left). We first tried their specialty cocktail. We had a few more during our visit. We...started with the world famous conch fritters and were so very impressed. We ordered the deep water snapper sandwich and the chicken salad wrap. We were very happy with our food overall. Jude was a great conversationalist and even explained the formation of the Baths besides playing the conch for us.More
I have traveled to VG since 7 times since 2011. Up until this last trip in April 23’ we had avoided Mad Dogs as we thought they were mostly cold sandwiches (as was the case when my husband and in-laws used to come). My mother...in law noticed they had hot sandwiches and.conch fritters, so we decided to give it a try. Man I wish we hadn’t waited so long. We went a total of 3 times for lunch while we were there for 2 weeks. I got the grilled chicken sandwich each time, as the sub roll it came on was outstanding. My mother in law loved the conch fritters, she got them 2x. They had grilled cheese and other melts that were like a panini, which the guys both enjoyed. And I forget the name of the gentleman who runs it, but he and his daughter (taking the orders) were just wonderful to chat with. And my mother in law hurt her hand right before we had lunch there needing stitches and he gave her a few plastic gloves to use while swimming so she didn’t get it wet. They wouldn’t offer those to her at the clinic when she had it worked on, so I thought that was tremendously giving of him.More
After spending the day enjoying The Bath’s and Devils Bay, we had a great lunch at Mad Dog’s located at the entrance to the park. We chatted with the owner and his daughter while we enjoyed lunch and the views. Everything is cooked to order,...don’t miss the homemade conch fritters! The fish wrap and the grilled chicken sandwich were fresh and tasty. This is a well-loved local place.More
GREAT place to eat NEXT DOOR to Top of the Baths, Virgin Gorda. Good food, good drink, reasonable price. The owner stayed open a bit late to feed up. I've been here before, came again, and will stop here next time at the Baths, Virgin...Gorda.More
My sister and I visited Mad Dog twenty + years ago. We were so excited to see that it was still there today. The hurricanes did destroy the original structure, but it was built back better. Jude, our waiter, was great!
Visited while bare boat sailing the BVI. We moored for the night at Leverick Bay and took a cab to the baths. Cafe is located just outside the Baths entrance. Great wings, best I’ve ever had!
Definitely go here when visiting the baths. The conch fritters were the best we’ve had and the all the other food we ordered was made with such fresh ingredients. The service was excellent too!
Had a quick stop here for drinks. Really cute place. Sitting outside is great. Nice variety of food offered. Jude is great guy and so nice.
This place can't be beat. Jude and Beverly have something special. We always enjoy stopping by for lunch after the Baths crowds have gone. The food is always fresh and the conch fritters are the best I have had anywhere.
If you go to the Baths, make sure you don't miss this local and exceptional restaurant. If you don't want to go to the Baths, this is worth a visit anyway. Great food and real value for money. Intelligent and friendly owners.
Entirely rebuilt after the 2017 hurricane - but looks identical to the old building from the 1990s. Only place in the world I order a pina colada - as no place makes one better (and the setting doesn't hurt). Alwasy fun people to meet
The owner here was so sweet and accommodating for my vegan sisters. He told us all about the rock formations and the area. The guava lemonade was amazing and so was the grilled chicken sandwich! This is a local business that we loved supporting. They...even had cool hats for sale!More
After spending a few hours at the baths, we hiked to the top and had a drink at Mad Dog. The owner was so nice and the drinks were great!
