I was at The Rock a couple of weeks ago. The ambiance is very nice, with boulder rocks surrounding the outside tables and a small water fountain coming from one of the rocks. Inside it is very chic, with modern decor, being probably of the best restaurants you can find in Virgin Gorda, without having to pay extraordinarily steep prices.... more

Atmosphere aside, I can find no reason to have a meal here. Sitting among the boulders is interesting but only for 10 minutes. As soon as the food arrives you will regret your decision to eat here. Try Island Pot, a local rib and chicken joint, just down the road. Nothing fancy but the ribs are great and the price... more

Given the fact that it is a given that food on an island is expensive, we still found this restaurant to be one of the least attractrive places on Virgin Gorda. We had first been to The Rock in 2003 and had a good but not exceptional meal. At the time, the highlights of the venue were the pizza (the kids had a craving) and the outside tables nestled among Virgin Gorda's famous granite boulders.
