This was by far the best food we had on the island of Virgin Gorda. On the night we dined, there was only one other party - we were shocked. I guess the masses flock to the consistently mediocre food at Saba or Bitter End. So glad we made our way up to the mineshaft. Also, the drinks were too... More

The views were really pretty and the food was really good. Their menu had a good selection for everyone.

I have eaten here many times over the years and Jenks and Elvin the owners, seem to keep the prices down while still providing good food. The prices are about average on this island but considering the view and the good food, it is still a great place.

After hearing so much about the sunsets from Mine Shaft, we drove over thinking we couldn't miss it. Sadly it was a really cloudy night and not much sunset to be seen- but that didn't stop us from having a fun time! The outdoor patio is gorgeous and I can imagine how beautiful if gets on a clear night. We... More

Visited in mid November (the "off" season) It had just opened and the days and time of openings was hard to keep up with. That being said, when it was open, the bar and restaurant are excellent and the views overlooking the bay and the copper mine are spectacular. Good "Island Vibe" and food cooked by Chef Elton was very... More

Upon arrival in Virgin Gorda we called for a taxi as we were hungry and knew that the brothers at Mineshaft would be open even as it was already 8.00pm. The taxi driver told us not to go to Mineshaft as it was closed . he suggested the Coco Maya where we had a horrible experience as there was a... More

Had dinner at the Mine Shaft Cafe last week and it was fantastic. Tuesday is all you can eat BBQ and we took advantage of it. Takes a while to get to the top of the mountain but well worth it. My wife had a wrap that she loved and I crushed about 10lbs of their delicious ribs. Try it,... More

Have been coming to VG for years and always enjoy the Mineshaft. It is amazing that year after year these guys continue to provide excellent food at very fair prices. My vacation can't start until we head to the Mineshaft. Tuesday all you can eat ribs might be the best meal on the island. Don't miss the Mineshaft!
