Expensive and hard to get to

this island next to an island is fabulous - i wish i could afford to stay here! We went for the day and swam and ate. The food at the pool as okay but not a great selection. Dinner seemed to be nicer.

If you are a sailor, there is a particular rope on your sailboat that you NEVER want to lose. If you do....you will not be able to anchor your yacht. It is called "The Bitter End" rope. Thus the resort with the same name quite chi-chi and very expensive to stay at. They also allow patrons with reservations off of the... More

Our family has stayed and visited the BEYC many times over the past 11 years and after our most recent stop it will continue to hold a special place in our hearts. Such a great vacation for families coming to play on the water. My husband and I had fun racing Hobies during the Beer Can Regatta. Be sure to... More

Ideal for a stop in your boat, great little grocery and boat supplies, staff happy to help you dock. Very basic accommodation however if you are staying there and the showers for the boaties far from nice.

The staff really needs to be trained. The service was incredibly slow and not very friendly until they realized it was time to tip. We waited for drinks that never came and had to reorder. Pizza was good though, but glad we didn't come for more than that.

We stayed at Bitter End for 5 nights and had an amazing time. It's a large resort and it offers plenty to keep their customers busy. We sailed, paddle boarded, hiked, snorkeled and took kiteboarding lessons. It was the perfect vacation for my husband and me because we like to stay busy and love the water. Everyone was incredibly friendly... More

This has to be one of the best vacations I've ever had. The non-corporate feel of this resort is so refreshing. The guests are mainly repeats, the staff is amazing, the property is gorgeous, and there is just enough activity to give the place a buzz, without feeling too crowded. I hiked numerous trails, learned to paddleboard, sailed, went on... More

We loved everything about it. You can rent all kinds of water sports equipment, swimming area, shops, and restaurants. Great nights sleep on the boat. The bay was very calm.

The Bitter End Yacht Club is a great place to pick up a mooring or, as we did, dock in the marina. The marina facilities were well maintained and the staff helpful and pleasant. The resort facilities definitely fall into the "up-market" category. Dinner at the restaurant was well prepared but a bit pricey. Overall, the Bitter End should be... More

My husband and I ate breakfast and dinner at Bitter end for 3 days. We did not have one bad meal and the service was incredible. We ate at the main restaurant and the pizza restaurant. Both were outstanding, and I was happy this resort had more than 1 restaurant as a choice for dining. The service wasn't as attentive... More
