Since we stayed at Frenchman's the last time we were in Tortola, I knew we had to return for at least one meal. Thankfully it worked out that we could come for Sunday brunch. Lucilla, Karen and Chef James were all still there and it was great to see everyone again! Definitely still the best restaurant and dining experience on... More

My wife and I traveled to the British Virgin Islands, where we stayed for about a week. A friend of ours recommended the Clubhouse in West End, and it certainly delivered on our visit. First off, the restaurant is situated in an open air establishment, and the view is absolutely amazing. A great setting for a meal for sure. My... More

I have never stayed at Frenchmans and probably never would. The rooms at the top of a steep hill are too far away from the beach for me and unlike some parts of the BVI it's a little barren looking. But I have eaten there a couple of times and I can only conclude that those who rate the restaurant... More

As P/T residents in BVI we are always interested in new restaurants and got many great suggestions for Sunday Brunch. We also attend local church which usually last until at least 1. We made a wild dash to WE from CGB, arriving a few moments after 1 to a full parking lot. This increased our anticipation and we were salivating... More

This place has some of the best food on the island. It is slow paced, and service is not fast. However, if you are on island time the food is worth this wait.

We were greeted by sincerely friendly staff and seated is a quiet spot where we could hear the sounds of the surf not far away. After settling in with a cocktail we ordered lobster and grilled black-fin tuna with a bottle of Rose from Provence. The meal was expertly cooked and was heavenly. We topped it all of (owing to... Seeing as the Clubhouse carried the #1 spot for West End Tortola dining, we expected more, but were sadly disappointed. The pictures on Tripadvisor look great, but in real person the restaurant is certainly not as picturesque as it appeared. On the upside, I will say the wine-list was exceptional, in particular the French selection and the wine prices very... More

I was really looking forward to a gourmet dinner. The Clubhouse came highly recommended on this site as well as others. We were a party of four. Three of us ordered the lobster entree. None of us enjoyed it. The only way to really ruin shellfish is to overcook it and our lobster tails were terribly overdone. The dish also... More

The service is friendlier than usually in the Caribbean. The lobster tails were delicious and really well prepared. Outstanding is the wine list - great French wines at discount USD prices.

We dined 2 nights at the Clubhouse. The atmosphere is intimate, the service was incredible. We felt very welcomed and knew we were in for a wonderful evening. The chef did a masterful job with the menu taking advantage of fresh seafood along with very creative approaches with beef and pork. I highly recommend the clubhouse and will surely return... More
