Great meal, great food

Although we've visited Tortola many times, for some reason we've never before tried The Clubhouse at Frenchman's. We've been missing out! We started with a delightful rum punch (not your run-of-the-mill rum punch) while we perused the extensive wine list, which included a number of reasonably... read more

Perched at the end of the cay is this open air gorgeous restaurant. French inspired cuisine with an incredible wine list. Bit of a splurge though! We enjoyed the carpaccio, duck etc. The duck was delicious!

We very much enjoyed our brunch. For $29/person we found this to be a great value. The bottle of Vueve was $85. I love a restaurant that has approachable wine prices. Our excellent appetizers included quiche and heart of palm salad. Entrees were beef stroganoff that was delicious. Chocolate mousse rounded out the meal. I would definitely return:

Wonderful greeting and excellent service, Fabulous and very extensive fine wine list, many of which were unfortunately beyond our budget. However, the food was very disappointing. The entrees were smothered by too many different and not really cohesive flavours. There was no respect for the natural flavours of the central protein and therefore none of it was really enjoyable. We... More

Had a wonderful meal on Friday. Food quality and preperation were top notch. Each dish had several composed items requiring some prep I am sure. Each tasted better then the next. The fish dishes were excellent ..fresh tasting as any I have had and I am a bit snobby when it comes to taste and smell...the sides or accompaniments were... More

I think trip advisor should remove all reviews by AugustusD about Tortola. Hee is dillusional and like nothing. The setting at the Clubhouse is intimate romantic and impeccable, their food is all home made by the same two chefs every service and the decor is high class. He has degraded most restaurants and I believe him to be a restaurant... More

I have tried this place many times and frankly I have to say its disappointing to say the least. The vaunted Sunday brunch is great marketing ( includes a cocktail -bloody Marys I suspect are the most popular) but the food varies from OK to terrible all the way to inedible and I suspect its entirely due to who is... We had heard about the Sunday brunch last year after we had left the island. So we made a reservation as soon as we arrived this year. We were well rewarded go out effort. The meal was beautifully prepared and the service was excellent. It is served as a three course very reasonable fixed price with a fine cocktail. The... More

Excellent freshly and artistically prepared, consistant dishes which can be paired with wines of most anyone's discriminating palate. I have enjoyed the foods, watched the process in their well organized open air kitchen. The staff in very focused and efficient.. The Clubhouse is on the top of my BVI Restaurant list..Excellent ambiance, value for dollar, creative well prepared foods. The... More

I might say a slightly hidden gem because the drive in is a tad ambiguous but that can be true for many island places tucked into inlets and windy roads. But well worth finding! Wonderful ambience, decor, service and food! At the Frenchman's Resort, near Soper's Hole area of the West End. The food was scrumptious and plentiful enough to... More
