Fabulous lunch on our last day and probably our best meal.

We had an amazing lunch on the last day of our vacation with a table overlooking the beach. We shared some beef curry spring rolls that were home made and delicious, a yummy salad and then the piece de resistance was the Royan Raviolis... they were truly the best food of our holiday. We were... read more

Yes, the food is passable and the view is good. Service was adequate. My tuna steak was overcooked and dry. This is a small room, so the fact that management allows smoking is inexcusable. You cannot avoid the stink. Our group will not be back. There are other very good restaurants here who care about the dining experience of their... More

We made a reservation on the Internet which was confirmed on their website. We asked for a table close to the water view. When we arrived they said that the chef handles all internet reservations and went to ask him. They came back and said we didn't have a reservation but offered a table in the middle of the entryway.... More

This restaurant has it all as noted in the review title. We ate at L'effet Mer twice over six nights. The second time was our last night and we selected L'effet Mer because we thought it was the best of the best. All our meals were very good and French style . However, we felt the service was the best... More

Service was great, as was the French food. And you can't beat the view on the beach. You really have a hard time finding a bad French restaurant in Grand Case. We chose this for our anniversary based on the menu and the fact that it was on the beach, and we weren't disappointed.

We were on the island for a week, seeking out the best restaurants for dinners. We had many but this one stood out above the rest. Casual but elegant with inventive dishes that meshed traditional French (bistro leaning) and Caribbean foods and style. Wonderful and reasonably priced wine selection. Personal service; we felt welcomed into a home.

We were turned down by another place down the road, and really glad we were. You sit overlooking the water below. The breakfast here was excellent. We had an omelette and fried eggs with bacon, also pancakes. All were delicious! And their coffee is the best yet on the island. We love finding hidden gems like this. Will definitely be... More

Loved the food and ambience at this restaurant. The chocolate bomb dessert was incredible, as was the rest of the meal. Would go back and do the a la carte next time. Tasting menus are a lot of food

This restaurant had the best lunch, and dinner on the entire island. The views were stunning. Its situated in the middle of Grand Case, and makes for a great time. A must visit.

Lovely location, overlooking Grand Case Bay. Watch the dinghies come in from the big boats over a cup of latte and make up a story to go with the fascinating parade of humanity climbing out of them and coming up the pier. We had a lovely, delicious breakfast there and felt both welcomed and appreciated by the staff. Had our... More
