Our dinner here early on a very busy night (Mardi de Grand Case) was good but certainly not as great as other reviewers have described. The food prep was imaginative and maybe a step or two below the area's top restaurants. The dining room may be the best in Grand Case with a fantastic view and ambiance. Our waiter was... More

If you want to eat delicious fine French food while gazing out into the surf, Le Tastevin is the spot for you! The food was delicious (I had the "Great Vegetarian Dish" and my husband had the Mahi-Mahi). And the staff was friendly, and service was prompt. Get there early for a prime ocean side table, but it is one... More

I was in St. Maarten for my annual family trip in November 2014. We always have dinner one night in Grande Case, this year we ate at Le Tastevin - I don't think we need to find another restaurant next year - we will definitely be going back to Le Tastevin... every year! They were very accommodating to our group... More

We were looking for a restaurant that was better than a bar and not too fancy. Grand Case has a charming little row of beachside restaurants that qualify and we had heard good things about Tastevin. Surrender by a downscale residential neighbourhood, the road is very narrow and parking is an issue, but it is charming. Think Lahaina, Maui maybe... More

We spent our New Year's Eve here. You will most likely need a reservation for dinner during high season. Bring along a lot of cash in American dollars and you can get a dollar for euro 1 to 1 exchange, by paying with cash, which can save you enough for dessert! Expect your dinner (for 2) to set you back... More

On a recent Friday night we had dinner here. Linen tablecloths, balcony seating area over the beach watching the sunset. The wine selections were fantastic, the food the same. The service was very attentive and friendly. Highly recommended!

My wife and I have spent four weeks of each of the past two years in an apartment next to Le Tastevin and have eaten lunch and dinner here many times. The food and view were always good. This year we are staying on another part of the island, but drove to Grand Case for lunch. As usual, the view... More
