I enjoyed this place and the food was very inventive, but perhaps a little too much so. I don't think some of the flavours and combinations quite worked, but the desserts were out of this world! Worth a visit.

Another amazing meal at L'Estaminet this week. I brought some friends who were visiting from Canada and they thought the food was fantastic. Everything we had, from the Asparagus soup to the Caesar salad was fabulous. For the mains, we had the Mushroom Risotto with Foie Gras, Shrimp Fetticcine and the Filet with Truffles. Just perfect. The dessert, Chocolate Indulgence... More

This is a fine restaurant, the food is a great mix of French and local cuisine. It is one of the best restaurants on St Martin. Wine list is good. Service was slow, they said the sous chef cut her finger. You usually need a reservation, so call ahead.

As an American, I read some of the previous reviews, some good and some bad, and thought I would give L'Estaminet a try. We arrived at 6 pm with no reservations, but the hostess, Carole, and the host ( whose name I sadly did not get), were friendly and accommodating. Yes, it took time to get our appetizers, but you... This was recommended to us because of the party each Tuesday night in Grand Case. It took forever for us to get our food and we had to ask for more water. By the time we got our food and ate it, the street party was over. It was also expensive and my food, which was one of the specials... More

Let me start with the good. These people cook very very very good food. Also, the woman who is the head of front of house is extremely nice and accommodating. The problem is the length of time it takes to get it. We waited approximately 35 minutes after ordering to get our appetizers and then another 45 minutes after the... More

While it might not look like much from the outside, inside this restaurant is a very talented chef. Everything we had was absolutely delicious and was presented beautifully. We liked it so much that we went back the very next night. If you are a foodie on St. Martin, L'Estaminet is not to be missed.

As always we had a fabulously interesting meal. Carole and team deliver every single time. This place is a must visit! Some want to sit on the water but for the best food in Grand Case you must go to L'Estaminet!!

Definitely the worst restaurant that we went to in Saint Martin. We waited for 2 hours and 15 minutes to get our food. We tried speaking french to them at the beginning (2 of the 4 of us can speak french) and they ignored it and just spoke english which is guess is fine. The worst part is that they... More

Our favourite fine dining restaurant in Grand Case. The mini bbqs to cook your fresh tuna at the table were unmissable, the Lobster Bisque with Rum and Coconut was smoothly gorgeous, the Pigeon 3 Ways and the Mushroom Risotto with Foie Gras were fabulous. they do fantastic taste combos with their vegetables which makes them so intriguing. Who'd have thought... More
