We have been here several times and absolutely love it. A very different, yet pleasant dining experience. Upon entering the restaurant you immediately feel like you've been transported to a Swiss chalet. The food is delicious, the ambiance is great and the service is phenomenal. We highly recommend coming here.

This is our second time to Le Chalet Swiss. We are regular fonduers at home, so the fondu experience is not new and we know what to expect. We had rackets again this time, sharing the experience with our son and new future daughter in law (celebrating their engagement here on the island). The staff do a great job at... More

I use to live in st.martin for almost 15 years. My family still lives there so I go back each year. And we make it a point to go at least once have dinner here. Everything is amazingly good. The service is very friendly. I recommend everyone to go here at least once!

OK, so this was my first visit to a fondue restaurant and I'm not sure it won't be my last too! At 22 Euros a head for the Swiss cheese fondue, I Was expecting a little more than half a baguette cut into chunks and a pot of melted cheese with some wine & herbs added... Am I missing something?!!... More

We wanted fondue and raclette so we headed to Le Chalet Suisse on the road from Marigot to Terres Basses. We almost missed it because its sign is so worn out that the only thing you can see is a small Swiss flag. The entrance to the restaurant is equally inadequate. But don't you miss it! Once you are inside,... More

I hadn't been to Le Chalet since I moved back to the States in 2010, but despite my long absence, Laurene remembered me. She is a fantastic server, always happy to accommodate any tastes and preferences. I've never picked out a bottle of wine there - I always rely on her recommendations, and she has never steered me wrong. The... More

The owner, Isabelle, has a location in Grand Case that we understand to be closing but nonetheless we ate here during our trip to St. Martin. The food and service were outstanding!!! The first night we went there, we had already eaten dinner but decided to go there for dessert. Laurene was a friendly server and brought us our crepes.... More

I have been going to this restaurant for years for the excellent cheese fondue, unfortunately they have new ownership and the food has really gone down hill. I had the cheese fondue over the Xmas holidays and what they served was a sub par pot of cheese curds in wine. What a a real let down

I have been to St Martin four times and the highlight of each trip has been a dinner at Le Chalet. Tonight we had our looked forward to dinner for this trip. We were a party of three two of which wanted to try the raclette. There is a minimum of two to order this meal. I was a holdout... More

This restaurant is amazing! This is my third time there and it never disappoints! Isabelle welcomes you into the restaurant like you're a good friend in her home. The decor makes you feel like you just arrived in a Swiss Chalet and the smell of authentic fondu and raclette make you salivate. This is a great place for everything from... More
