What an amazing place! Great location on the inner harbor. Service was so warm by all the staffers and the food was super creative and delicious. Loved the pasta with vegetables and pesto and the pasta carbonara as well as rack of lamb. The desserts are beautiful, tried the special chocolate orange dessert and profiteroles. Nothing on the island compares.

This is a wonderful restaurant located right on the water in the Marigot marina. (It's next door to the La Casa del Habano cigar shop if you're looking for a genuine Cuban cigar, although the shop closes quite early- 1400 when we were there.) It was raining on the day we visited the Tropicana, so there was very little foot... More

We learned of this fine restaurant on this site. We were celebrating a special occasion and favor big lunches over big dinners. We were thrilled totally with the service (owner/manager?), our lunch choices. Mine was the Seafood Taboule special of the day. The presentation was lovely, the portion large and the taste wonderful. There was a special desert offered, but... More

We used to go to Tropicana for dinner each trip to SXM. Had such a disappointing experience 4 years ago that we had not been since. Decided to try again this year and are so very glad we did. The food was delicious. More importantly, the staff was inviting and the service to us Americans was warm. We will go... More

We have eaten at the Tropicana about 15 times and while it was still very good, the food was not quite up to par. Our server, Ana, was very personable. My husband's lobster bisque was very flavorful, but there was not one piece of lobster in it. I ordered a cold crab salad and it honestly tasted like tuna from... More

The food was delicious and the staff very friendly. We went once for dinner during our one week stay.. and probably would have gone back again if we were staying longer. A cute restaurant by the marina and a great menu with so many amazing dishes. We tried as many appetizers and entrees as we could and LOVED all of... More

Our food and service is always excellent when we visit Tropicana. If you are lucky enough to get Christoph as your server you may also learn a little bit about the island and get an impromptu French lesson -- always great fun. We enjoyed lunch here twice in one week and couldn't have been happier with our food and experiences.... More
