I don't know why all this people bash this place. It seems to me that the "reviews" are fake and done by few people from 12 meter bar or some jealous locals. Anyway, I've been coming to St. martin every year for for the last 20 years. Phil was a nice guy, but he is gone, so get over please.... More

Get Wet as we knew it is gone....It was never about the bar. It is the people who make a bar. We lived in SXM for 5 yrs. Get Wet had customers local, transient and tourist. They treated and valued all the same. Any tourist who landed in Get Wet had found the true SXM experience. It belonged to us... More

I used to go to Get Wet several times during my many vacations in St Martin, but no more sadly it has changed dramatically! Phil and Momma are no longer there, the shade trees have been destroyed, and service is terrible. It's obvious when the one good review out of nine has an eastern European "accent" to it where it... I will be returning to St Maarten July 10th and i'm sad to hear Phil has moved on. He will be missed by so many people from all over the world.

This was our favourite bar in Phillipsburg. Phil and Momma were the best! Always happy to welcome you home, always ready with your next drink and more than happy to get you lunch. Unfortunately the bar is now closed. If it does reopen - we will not go back. It's not the same without the same people and atmosphere that... More

We only planned to stop for one drink. We started having soooo much fun with Vladimir and MOM-cook of the house, we ended staying for 5 1/2 hours!!! It was daylight when we arrived and night when left. Make sure to visit this bar when you go to St. Maarten! Great hospitality and GREAT Bartender! Lots of love! We will... More

I am very sad to see my favorite bar in the world has been destroyed, it was an institution on the island, a meeting place for locals and tourists alike, one of the few bars on the island that treated you as a friend and customer instead of a dollar sign, The beautiful trees are gone, the laughter is gone,... I have been visiting the island a couple of times a year for the past 15 years. Walking into Get Wet always felt like coming home. It had a friendly, comfortable atmospshere. You could count on Phil to welcome you and hand you a ice cold drink. Then spend the day laughing and enjoying the good company that Get Wet... More

To all those who try to kill the new get wet bar, you're totally wrong guys. You are just nostalgic and miss Phil, who by still come here because i met him few days ago. I go for afterwork drinks and food almost eveyday, even for lunch because the is just excellent and the prices are really reasonable. I would... More

this is the walking dead Carib chapter. It is not as it once was and now run by eastern euro money laundering type- no personality, no care for customer service and attitude. It once was a proud Canada who ran it, but no more, he is gone and the place has lost its appeal. I would keep walking down the... More
