The coal pot is a bit out of the way but it is worth the effort to go there. On the water front, the atmosphere is great. We both had dorado, a fresh local fish and it was very well cooked and tasty. Very enjoyable evening

We visited The Coal Pot last night & everything about it was excellent. Beautiful setting, staff were lovely & food sublime. Not cheap but well worth a visit if in St Lucia. It's sister restaurant is the Pink Plantation House which is also known to be very good.

Coal Pot is now open for lunch (although NOT every day, I believe) but we were the only ones there on a Saturday. They opened at noon. It's a bit odd to find: turn left onto a rutted side road just before the roundabout @ Castries airport (if driving from the south) and look for an orange arrow pointing left,... More

Tasty food. Prompt service, but the price is a bit steep. On the waters edge adds to great atmosphere withing the all wooden deck and cozy feel to the indecandescent lighting.

May be the best restaurant in St. Lucia. The Coal Pot is owned by Michelle Elliot, a local artist that makes beautiful ceramics. She has 2 restaurants, the Coal Pot being one of them. Great food, great view, great service.

Sat right by the waters edge watching the waves gently lap against the floor and thru the clear waters to rocks on the sea bed!!... More

Forty two years ago Beth and i vacationed on St Lucia for a week, and all i really remember is the meal at the Coal Pot, always ranked at or near the top of my list of best restaurants in the world. So we had to go back. The wide boards on the floor with water washing up on them... More

It's was recommended by a friend and we were so glad we went there. Charming setting and a good menu without being too expensive! All in all a lovely evening. Sat right next to the estuary and fed the fish with some of our bread.

Expensive for the island but worth every penny. Hidden away outside Castries the setting is enchanting especially at night. The food is the best I have had on the island. If your in St Lucia this is a must.

Visited here early August 2014 and had an excellent lunch. The location is lovely, service quick and food quality was excellent. Not cheap, but the you get what you pay for, and we felt the food, location and service justified the price. It is very tucked away right next to the Castries airport runway and we are glad we had a... More
