Coal Pot is a place and name to remember. The food was great, very intimate setting with good enough service.
You will sit practically on the water and enjoy an excellent French-creole cuisine which is consistently good every time. One of my favourite restaurants on St. Lucia with a menu that features selections like Calalloo soup, creole chicken and freshly caught fish with mouth watering local herbs and spices. You will definitely not feel like leaving this tranquil, waterside dining... More
We have been to the Coal Pot since it opened many, many year ago. The reason we find it to be unexpectedly lovely is that the road that leads to the restaurant would make one think they are not going to a fine dining establishment. It surprises you as it opens to a small lagoon, is candlelit, and small and... More
Great atmosphere delicious food friendly wait staff. They also do lunch which is great also. Go with friends or a romantic dinner it just great.
We have eaten here a few times over the years. This occasion did not live up to expectations. The setting is stunning and quite romantic. The menu is much as we recalled. The wine list was ok too.I had the crab starter (very nice ) and the jumbo shrimp, in my view, not so jumbo. I requested creole sauce on... More
Shrimp cocktail followed by steak. Absolutely delicious. Lovely setting. Great service. Beautiful pottery to purchase by Michelle Elliott.
we ate here our first night on St Lucia and it was a perfect choice. The view at sunset was charming, being right in the harbor at Castres. Not cheap, but the food was excellent and we were given time to enjoy the ambiance and watch the fish 5 feet away.
Everything about this place is amazing! The food is incredible and the atmosphere is quaint and local. I would not want to miss this restaurant. If I could only choose one place to eat in St. Lucia I would pick The Coal Pot. The fish is fresh, mussels are amazing and the pumpkin soup is delicious. Add this restaurant to... More
We loved it. Would highly recommend. Great seafood and service. Enjoyed everything about it. Try the crab.
We dined at this restaurant on our last night in St. Lucia, and I'm so pleased we had the opportunity to do so. The setting is absolutely stunning, we had a King prawn and a lobster meal, which was a good as you could get. Reasonably priced and beautifully prepared.
