We headed to Jacques for lunch after a host of disappointing meals at other restaurants. The staff were well-presented, welcoming and friendly. We had a table looking out onto Vigie Cove, watching the boats come as go as we ate. The food was cooked with high-quality ingredients, well cooked, tasty and portion sizes were just right. This is a restaurant... more

Jacques Waterfront Dining is a successful, established restaurant with an excellent local reputation. We elected to go there after hearing wonderful things about both the setting and, of course, the food. Our evening kicked off with cocktails created by Cyril, one of several staff members who have been with the restaurant since it opened over 10 years ago. My Margarita... more

My husband and I recently experienced a very special luncheon at Jacques, along with a group of twenty three foodies from Tucson, Az. We were wisked away from the crowds of the cruise ship and in a few minutes found ourselves in a quiet, cozy, hideaway place. Our every expectation was met, starting with the warm welcome from staff, the incredible... more

In Feb we visited St lucia. Our friends are gourmet oriented and so we went out a lot. I prefer simpler fare and thus was surprised when at the end of the trip we voted on our favorite restaurant and 3 out of 4 said Jacques. I especially loved the sauces. I mean really... how is a steak or mahi... more

My wife and I were here for lunch in Feb 2009. We took the water taxi from Pointe Seraphine ($3US round trip). The spot had a beautiful setting and was clean and quiet. The food was excellent as well, but quite expensive. I assume no locals can afford to eat here. I am not sure if this is a good... more

My husband and I went to St. Lucia for my birthday in December and this was one of our favorite restaurants. Cathy, the owner, came out and talked to us for a few minutes when we got there. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly and attentive. We sat at one of the tables that were right... more

We held our wedding reception at Jacques in January 2009 after getting married at Pigeon Island National Park. I arranged our reception directly with Cathy, the owner of the restaurant who was more than happy to ensure we had the reception meal that we wanted. With only 12 guests, it was an intimate affair so we requested one of the... more

When we first went to St Lucia 6 years ago, this restaurant quickly became our favourite - and it has remained our favourite each year since. We reckon to have tried most of the others, but nowhere else do we find the variety of lunch time 'snacks', the quality of rum-based cocktails - (sometimes too strong for us), or the... more

Known locally as Froggy Jacks the meal I had here last week was phenomenally expsensive and frankly, poor. Side dishes of vegetables and rice looked as if they would have been more at home on a 747. As part of a large party it was also annoying to have to keep pestering the staff for wine and, amazingly, that they... more

Froggy Jacks as it is known locally: there was no problem at all in getting either still or fizzy bottled water, in fact, it was the first question that the proprietor asked. As a group of 15 we had a perfectly good dinner. It was not quite gourmet but it met our needs. Good wine list. more
