Great simple dinner on the beach

Walked in a little early around 630. They start around 645 for dinner. They let us pick any table we wanted. Very relaxed. We ordered pizza and Burger which are the specialties. Within an hour there were several families seated and served and a steady stream of take out pizzas going. Very... read more

A nice driving destination en route past L'Orient to Grand Cul de Sac which affords you a view of more coastline and more of the country. Keep your eyes out for the stop sign to turn down to the beach. The restaurant has a private parking lot. You can eat at open air tables under some trees, or

Yesterday, we enjoyed our second visit to La Gloriette and we were not disappointed. It's a small beach restaurant serving lunch at Grand Cul-de-Sac. Each time we've visited, the food has been good, the drinks were well made and the setting is calm and comfortable. The service was attentive without being overbearing. I recommend La Gloriette to anyone looking for... More

La Gloriette was a great little seafood and fish restaurant that was a way from the typical options in st. jean or gustavia. The fish and seafood was very taste and fresh; the drinks were also great! Really enjoy my time on the beach and eating lunch. The beach chairs are free if you are dining. There also looked to... More

Stopped into this little beach bar for the second time. First night in St Barts stopped in for pizza as kids wanted something simple. Great crust, although not surprised as the French have a knack for good baking. Looked at the lunch menu and was intrigued enough to go back. Solid cocktail menu, small but sufficient wine list. Staff was... More

Although we walked up about 1PM on a Saturday in peak season, and were able to get a table without a reservation, you might be wise to book in advance as the inside (out of the wind) tables were mostly full. Service was excellent, with just the right amount of attention ( and communication about a shellfish allergy presented no... More

La Gloriette is a small, well-hidden little gem down in Grand Cul de Sac, near Le Sereno. The food is excellent, the service personnel friendly and fun, and how can you beat sitting at lunch with your feet in the sand? While we were there, a typical Caribbean one-minute rain shower came up. I was really impressed at how the... More

We came by chance and will keep coming back, Had a lovely relaxed luncheon of salads and grilled fish kabobs that were perfectly done. The waitresses were great fun and well informed. I actually felt bad for them, they work their fanny's off, however we never felt rushed or pressured and had a very relaxed and enjoyable beachfront luncheon. Great... More

We set out for our day without an agenda and trusted in our travel karma, which had proven reliable in the past. We walked around the harbor to the museum which had a Jasper Johns exhibit. Alas, it was closed until later, but the whimsical sculptures out front were well worth the walk and the benches looking over the harbor... More

We recently stayed on St. Barth and dined once in this little restaurant and got take away pizzas on two other occasions. The food was always fresh and well prepared. The pizzas are delicious. It was nice to sit with our toes in the sand while our children played nearby as we waited for our food. If you are staying... More
