MY Oh My Oh MY!

I had not been to El Quenepo in quite a while but last night was my husbands birthday and I wanted to treat him. And it was a treat, fabulous food, great drinks, wonderful wine and great service! Thanks Kate and Scott and our server, it was night to remember.

This place is amazing! I think it's the best meal on the island. Great service, cocktails, and the food, oh my the food! Outstanding! It gets all the circles (and all the stars!)

It's going to be a matter of taste but it's a toss-up between here and Next Course as to who's got the best food on Vieques. Don't count out El Blok either. Hell, just love 'em all. Pricey but absolutely stunning food.

My husband and I ate at El Quenepo on the last night of our trip. It was hands down the best food of our entire trip. I had the tuna with asian slaw and wasabi sauce and it was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Seriously, I didn't want to stop eating it! My husband had the scallops over brussel sprouts and... More

I wanted to get authentic paella and so we stopped in here. To be honest, it was not served in the pan (which is what speaks "authentic" to me), but instead it was served in a bowl. And I didn't miss the pan much because the meal was outstanding. I ordered the seafood version and was pleasantly surprised to see... More

My wife & I found this to be our favorite restaurant in Vieques & one of the best in Puerto Rico. On top of that, the service was wonderful. They are vegetarian friendly, though they don't list all their vegetarian items on the menu. The vegetarian mufongo was the best we had on this trip. It is a hard place... More

We were in Puerto Rico for six days and the dinner at El Quenepo was the best. I would specially mention the goat masala with flatbread and Tuna poke. Just yummy. Great happy place and ambience.

El Quenepo had been recommended to us as not to be missed, by everyone we know (or met) who had been to Vieques. Our meal surpassed even our high expectations! Beautiful presentation, sublime flavor combinations, and a relaxed atmosphere where the food is the central attraction. The setting is lovely and the owners and staff are genuinely warm and interested... More

I have eaten almost everywhere on Vieques, including a few times at El Quenepo. It was always very good, but last night was special. Wonderfully prepared and sauced tuna, and an imaginative Caesar salad. I sampled two deserts, and they too were outstanding. There are several good restaurants on this small island, but this featured fine dining at a very... More
