We loved our meals, definitely try the 'reconstructed' Cesar salad just for the visual experience; it also tasted delicious. The chef clearly enjoys his/her art. Our server was a little taciturn but we ignored that and enjoyed our street side seats where we could enjoy the view of the lovely and peaceful interior. We would recommend and also return.

Food was just ok and paled in comparison to places like Next Course and El Blok. Also manager would not accommodate simple request to deviate slightly from the menu to satisfy kids - even though restaurant was half empty and it would have been very easy to say yes. We expected more.

Always eat at more than once every trip! How could you not eat here every day if you can afford it??? Worth every penny and so grateful for each meal. Starting with being greeted by Kate, followed by an amazing meal served by Kirsten. Begin to think they wonder if we've never eaten before. We're NY food snobs and we... More

Loved the upscale dining in laid-back Vieques. Could have been a much longer meal, but our server moved through dinner at a good pace per our request to make the starting time for a bio-bay tour. A little pricey, but we enjoyed.

Traveling to Puerto Rico and Vieques with a gluten allergy has been challenging so it was a very nice surprise they had a separate Gf menu at El Quenepo. And the food was sooo good! I had the quinoa encrusted wahoo and my husband had the lamb and both plates were outstanding. The appetizer of Thai rice balls and dessert... More

You won't be disappointed by anything you order. This chef knows how to make your meal memorable! There is a great selection of food cooked with island favors. We've eaten here several times and had excellent service and unusual food.

We booked a reservation at 9 for 8 people knowing most places hate large groups. Onve we arrived 2 of our group decided it was not for them and left immediately. We apologised and the rest of us stayed...what could we do. I should have known when I stupidly listened to our waiter when he recommended a red wine with... More

Pricier restaurant on the malecon's south beach but well worth it. Seafood is fresh and provocatively prepared. Best martini ever outside of Saigon (or my kitchen). The chocolate flourless cake is to die for. Our server was a bit inattentive, but noticed other servers were on the ball, so maybe he was having a bad night. Were I to go... More

Great atmosphere. Interesting menu. But when my tuna arrived nearly raw and I asked for it to be put on the grill for another minute, oops...after 15 minutes the waiter looked at me like, "oh yeah, I forgot to bring it back." Ten minutes, later, an overdone replacement dish arrived. Well, you can't win them all. The host and hostess... More

The lobster was fine and my wahoo was not that tasty but the item that stuck out was the brusque and almost hostile service when we expressed some misgivings about the menu. After aggressively pushing an 8 dollar bottle of sparkling water, we had to blurt out our drink orders and then our waitress took our dinner order over her... More
