Simply The Best!!!!!

Where to start? This is really a cumulative review, having been frequenting El Quenepo since we first started visiting Vieques seven years ago (at least once, sometimes twice a year). We have been eating with pleasure at El Quenepo since it opened. Full disclosure I am a big fan of Chef Scott Cole. The food and service are consistently 5 stars. Even when something does go wrong they prove their rating by fixing it so fast - Kate has such a well trained staff. Naturally our escape from Chi-beria (Chicago/Siberia)... More

Food was fine, but doesn't provide any value. Our Caesar salad had just 2 small stalks of romaine lettuce. No value here.

We mostly eat at less fussy places on Vieques, but a friend recommended this restaurant, and the staff were so accomodating at finding us an excellent table with no reservation, that we were happy to splurge. Everything was so delicious. I had the scallops, my husband had the mofungo. The cocktails were tasty too. Justin, our server, was really friendly... More

Everything about this restaurant says it is the best on the island. Very friendly and accommodating staff, excellent food, great service. Desserts weren't as good as the appetizers and mains, but who cares. They were "only" a 4. One of the better restaurants we've recently been to whether on Vieques or anywhere.

We had a fantastic meal at this restaurant. Our hostess assured us that the fish was fresh beyond compare. That was the absolute truth. I do not know how I will ever eat swordfish again. It was delicious with excellent accompaniments. My fellow travelers enjoyed the scallops, tuna and oysters with the same reaction. A restaurant not to be missed.... More

The food here is exceptional. The service is superb. The atmosphere is charming. This is hands down the best restaurant on the island. If you visit Vieques El Quenepo should be a must on your list. Each in our party of 3 had 3 different appetizers, entrees and desserts and we all found each course top notch.

This is by far our favourite restaurant on Vieques. They have a very diverse and well executed menu and excellent service. We visit Vieques several times per year and our dinner here is a must.

from the Chef's teaser to start our meal to the delicious dessert everything was perfect. Our wine complemented the meal and both entrees were perfect. Surprising to find such a gem in this out of the way spot. Our experience was NYC quality and done with island flair. The kitchen staff, the wait staff, and the bar worked together like... More
