My girlfriend and I went here for dinner and were treated very well and they cooked a feast for us! Everything from the drinks to the appetizers to the main course to the desert were exquisite! And, to top it off, the owner stopped by to greet us and recommend more great food in San Juan upon our return. A... More

I don't believe Vieques is known as a foodie-town, but I was surprised by the lack of good food (our expectations weren't high, I swear.) Unfortunately, we missed the #1, Mexican restaurant and Next Course was closed during our stay. But I can fairly say that out of the meals we had, El Quenepo was by far the best. We... More

My fiancé and I cake for dinner to celebrate my 30th birthday. We had been to some of the other neighboring Esperanza restaurants on previous evenings for more casual fare, but wanted to go somewhere special for our last night on the island (and to celebrate my birthday!). The ambience was perfect - semi open air, with fans circulating the... More

Both the food and service at El Quenepo were outstanding; the seafood mofongo and ceviche were the best! Prices on both food and drink were very reasonable considering the quality, as well. Good location in Esperanza, overlooking the Malecon. Top choice for food in Vieques!

This is my favorite restaurant on the island. Their version of Mofongo is superb. This was our third trip to Vieques, and each time we dine at El Quenepo one night. Every time the owner has stopped by our table to chat and make sure everything was to our liking. She and her staff really take pride in what they... More

Food & atmosphere were nice. I enjoyed seafood mofango and wife/son liked vegetarian mofongo (on spicy side!!). Daughter enjoyed vegetarian version of NYC strip. The crème brulee desserts were enormous. High quality meals. Enjoyed visiting with the hostess/owner as she made the rounds. Not cheap (nothing decent is on this island)--so get over it. (only bring well behaved kids here)

My husband and I liked this restaurant so much that during our 7 day trip, we went twice. We even went on the last night, after we had turned in our rental car, when it would have been much more convenient to eat at the fancy hotel restaurant. Quenepo has an eclectic menu with plenty of standards, some of which... More

I had read reviews and the one from a man from New York made me want to experience this restaurant. It was delicious. We spent a lot, but got very high quality food and had ordered several courses! We both got drinks (delicious and exquisite!), the bread and oil/onion starter could have been a meal of its own. We both... More

We had our wedding reception here, and if we did it over again, I'd have our dinner here again. Everything our party had was well prepared and creatively presented. A perfect special occasion spot, for seafood, steaks or local specialties. It's obvious the owner Kate knows what she is doing. This is easily one of the top restaurants on the... More

Went to an early dinner before the Bio Bay tour.Nothing needed TLC. From the appetizer to the wine and the main course and dessert, everything was soo fantatsic we wanted to take this chef home. I had the seafood mofongo with lobster and shrimp that was just yummy. My spouse had the Salmon special with spinach, this was even better.... More
