Great, but...the bread?

I cannot remember the last time I ate at a restaurant where I was charged for the bread. We ordered a dish that came with a very nice juice, perfect for dipping the bread at the end. When the check came, there was a $3 charge for the bread. All of a sudden it cheapened the experience. Next Course... read more

Fabulous meal in the twinkly little white light atmosphere. The service was excellent! The only thing I don't like about coming here is the "hairpin turn on the hill" driveway!

Very consistent restaurant. Year after year when we visit Vieques we find nothing but good food, good people and good drinks.

There was a huge group the night we visited, which I believe threw off the timing of the kitchen. The meal was much more slowly paced than I would have liked. We enjoyed the meal and ambiance.

Absolutely world class. Very eclectic menu and off the charts delicious. Great cocktails as well. Not cheap either so plan on $50+ per person, plus drinks. Worth every penny.

We were a family of three with a 12 year old, saw the positive reviews and really wanted to try Next Course but we thought it might be too fancy. It was our last night and we decided to try it - so glad we did! We did not have a reservation, you should make one, but we waited at... More

We had a lovely table on the deck, with the nice lighting and the setting sun. A good menu, good wine, and dinner was very good. Something about the place or our experience was a bit worn or formulaic, though we were first timers. The waiter gave his spiel and the specials without warmth or enthusiasm. I had beef short... We just visited Puerto Rico for the first time and spent two nights on Vieques Island. Dinner at Next Course is an amazing surprise. I love good food and this restaurant delivered. We had Scallops that were as large as B&B plates, but so tender and delicately flavoured that I still think of them today! Next was the Pork Chop.... More

the ambience is excellent - the location is cool, the food appeared to be pre-made, frozen food from dare i say (Costco)
