Mucho Gusto closed in 2011 or 2012. It will be missed by those who enjoyed local recipes at reasonable prices. When we were on the island last the space was operating as a bar.

The rice soup with seafood is excellent and the drinks are very affordable. The staff is very friendly... highly recommended.

Good local food, a refreshing change from the Esperanza international menus. A bit hard to find but well worth it.

Chef Carmen has the best seasoned grilled fish in Vieques. Try the conch fritters - yum. And her rice and beans are the very best authentic Puerto Rican style. Love this place on the Malecon. Closed Thursdays.

4 of us went to the restaurant waited 90 minutes for our order and when asked how much longer our order would be the cook came out and gave us attitude. Needless to say we walked out. Definitely would not recommend this

Heard from a local about this restaurant. So went there with my girlfriend to try. The food was OK, nothing to complain about. But the service, and the waiting time were terrible. We sat down at 6 pm, ordered at 630 pm, and got our food at 730 pm. And this all was when there was only 1 table before... More

Small and hidden with a great local menu. Must try the Garbanzo bean soup and the Fried Whole Fish....Amazing!!!! Only drawback is no outside seating and no view. Right off the main street in Esperanza. Don't go for ambiance, go for food. Check this place out!

My husband and I went to Muho Gusto for dinner one night. The restaurant may be air conditioned but it was still stifling. We got menus almost right away but then waited 20 minutes before the server came to take our order and when she did she seemed uninterested and rush. I ordered a rum and diet coke and she... More

We happened to go to Mucho Gusto when the restaurant we originally planned to eat at ran out of churrasco and lobster! What a treat, we were eager to eat authentic Puerto Rican food and we got it! The decor at Mucho Gusto is very low key and the food takes a while to prepare but it's well worth the... More

Went there several time during Jan. and Feb. of 2011. Each time the food was wonderful. The Shrimp soup has such a delicate flavor. Took a PR friend, who loves to cook himself. He said,"why have I not been here before. I will be back." The whole fish is the best I have had in PR. I have had at... More
