Chef Michael's newest (and best) venture. Chef Michael set the bar for creative dining when he arrived on the island several years ago. He now is cheffing ("cooking" doesn't cover it) at his new place, Coconuts in the heart of Isabel Segunda on the north shore of Vieques. The ambience is pure "island": gaily painted outdoor tables, a funky little... more

My husband and I enjoyed a meal at Coconuts recently during our recent trip to Vieques. And we must say... kudos to the chef! We split a few different items - a salad, a wrap, and the empanadas - all were wonderfully prepared and delicious. The prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was - to echo someone else's words -... more

Started at the bar, where I was introduced to the local DonQ rum, which is so smooth that i doubted the mojitos had any alcohol. Went up to the bar again and the bartender added more alcohol and even poured me a shot of DonQ rum to taste how smooth it was. It was a very nice gesture. We got... more

Coconuts in its new incarnation with Chef Michael has retooled the local eatery into something special. Chef Michael is the darling of many locals who follow him wherever he goes but this fit is excellent. Just right for locals and for tourists alike, it is low key, out doors, great beers and desserts and unexpected twists on old favorites. Have... more

can't say enough about this place, it was recommended to us by our friends who have a home in pilon, they had said it was their #1 spot , and now it's ours too. The atmosphere is truly devine. We sat at an outdoor table , just so mellow. The cocktails, cocunut rum & passion fruit concoction just were smooth... more

We ate at Coconuts twice during our stay and went there for our celebratory last dinner on the island. The food is really wonderful - cooked to order and the chef was very flexible with changes we requested. The service was superb both times - very friendly and personable. We loved the atmosphere - outdoors with much going on around... more

We stumbled on this place when walking towards Al's Mar Azul to watch the basketball game. We saw the manager of the Hix Island House sitting having a drink, so we decided to come into the restaurant. They had just closed the kitchen and we were going to call the pizza place to get delivery to take to Al's when... more

We were walking around Isabel II around 5:00 and wanted to grab a bite to eat and saw Coconuts. We had heard that Chef Michael was a new addition, so stopped in. They didnt' open until 5:30 or 6:00, but they were very accomodating and brought us drinks and seated us outside on the patio. There was a gentleman setting... more

Me and my 5 girlfriends went for dinner after meeting the owner Dorothy over at Al's. We actually ate here after the bio-bay so she stayed open later to accomodate us. The drinks were good, and the food was tasty. The coconut shrimp was darker but the tasted great. You must order the truffle french fries, that is not something... more

We came here to barhop, of sorts. We were going to Mar Azul, and saw this place, so we stopped in for a drink. The bartender was a funny expat. We had a nice conversation with several other expats at the bar. This was not a locals' place. But it was nice, so we came back a couple days later... more
