Good Casual Food at the beach

We stopped at Bananas our first night on Vieques. The server was friendly and brought us our drinks quickly. The Pina Colada's were decent but the Mojito had so much mint it was undrinkable, we sent it back. We were a large party and two people had the deep fried Red Snapper, which came whole, two... read more

Awful service, terrible food and has a child bussing tables. The waitress did not knowledge of the menu. The only good thing was the location and a great ocean view.

In general, the bean and rice preparation in Puerto Rico is really good but this place probably had the best one. Definitely give it a try.

We weren't planning on coming to Vieques, but since the ferry to Culebra was full, this was our only option... but the food was definitely worth the morning disappointment! Everything was delicious and the owner was extremely friendly and helpful. We had the fish taco, slider trio, cuban sandwich, and avocado fish burger were Amazing. The lobster bisque and biscuits... First thing I noticed were the strategically placed overhead fans, second, the music wasn't too loud, third, FINALLY, a restaurant without a distracting, intrusive TV flashing throughout our meal. Most important, though, this was the BEST meal we've had so far in 10 days in Puerto Rico, both around El Yunque and the kiosks of Luquillo, and all of Vieques.... More

People, this is not a 5 star restaurant - nor does it pretend to be. You usually come to the Isle of Vieques to relax and chill out, and this place fits the bill to a "T". The beers are cold and cheap for the local brew, they have a good selection of specialty drinks if you want that island... More

Went with family of 5. Drinks were good, everyone enjoyed food: fish tacos, pork sliders, Gorgonzola bread, tostones, hamburger sliders, dessert and Caesar salad. Waitress was super attentive and very nice. Place was clean and had a steady flow of people. I was looking forward to a delicious salad which is hard to find. They had a few choices. The... More

We enjoyed all, from the appetizer to the dessert. Beer not as cold as I expected. The bees (outside) were annoying. The staff not as friendly.

We spent every afternoon at this place. We enjoyed the music, the staff, the drinks, and the food. A nice place right in the Malecon. If I could I would transport myself to Bananas right now. The prices were reasonable and we got excellent service day after day. You should definitely stop in if you are lucky enough to find... More
