Beach Bar Upscaled

Beach bar, formerly a gringo expat hangout, its kind of gotten a bit more upscale. Its a place to sit and watch the island life. A shady place for cool people.

Nice Caribbean bar with finger food and good cocktails. Try the fish Tacos and fried plantains. Waiter friendly.

We had a good dinner here! Prices were reasonable for vieques. We ordered lobster bisque, carribean salad, rasta pasta, local fish, a burger and drinks. The food was pretty good for each dish and our server was very polite. Drinks were just OK, mine was too sweet for my liking. Though my teenage daughter really liked the strawberry daq. View... Some of the food was pretty good while the rest wasn't what we expected. So the fried coconut crusted snapper sandwich(Keywester) was pretty good! The fries are good. Tostones were AMAZING. Panini was pretty good. Drinjs were tasty and strong! My dad seemed to like the seafood mofongo. But some of us got the rice and beans expecting to have... More

This is by far the BEST restaurant I have yet found on the island. The couple that owns it is very outgoing and polite. The service is quick and spot on. The food is very tasty and a great value. I would recommend this to my friends and family . 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎

The ceviche looked like soup and tasted old. The fish tacos had pickled toppings that tasted weird with the fish (pickled mangoes and onions ARE NOT a pico de gallo). There was too much heaped in to the COLD tortillas, so you couldn't pick them up to eat them and when you tried, the tortillas ripped because they weren't even... More

We had lunch at Bananas and came back for dessert in the evening. The service at lunch was attentive though in the evening it was more "island time." My wife had fish tacos for lunch and I had baked Mahi Mahi. Both were tasty, well cooked, and came with good portions. In the evening, I had pumpkin flan, which I... More

We took the ferry to Vieques for the day and only had an hour left before we needed to return our rental car. Someone had recommended that we try the restaurants near Esperanza beach. The Bananas Restaurant staff welcomed us and assured us we would get our food in time. Not only did they deliver it quickly, but they provided... More

Ordered a bunch of appetizers because we could make up our minds and each one was great! While sitting on the outside patio a bunch of wild horses just strolled by...haha Lots of fun!

We stopped in for lunch and enjoyed several of their specials. The waiter was able to get the fries with my pork sliders changed out to their delicious rice and beans. For dessert we had coconut flan, specialty ice cream and mango cobbler. Yum! Fair prices and reasonable serving sizes. Highly recommend.
