The location and view cannot be beat. The menu looks promising but the food was disappointing. The mahi wrap needed flavor, the tostones were lad the the rum punch was from a mix.

Local food and atmosphere what a find. Went here 2 nights while we were in Vieques. Had fish tacos that were very good, some said the best they ever had. I had a cuban sandwich that was very tasty lots fof pork, pickles and cheese and HUGE I took half of ot home. The margaritias were good as was the... More

We ate here prior to the bioluminescent bay tour. Open air facing the sea it was lovely. Vern ordered the fish and chips and I have to say I stole a bit it was so delicious. I had the pulled pork sliders and they were very good, but Vern's meal was better. Reasonably priced, good service.

You can find Bananas along Flamboyant road which is by the coast. I had late lunch at Bananas yesterday. Tried out the New England Conch Chowder which was really good. Serving was big and it was about $7 I think. Also tried the Dirty Banana. Alcohol content was just right. It was like a chocolate banana shake with liquor. The... More

We had diner here again and it was as good as the first time. The only thing I dislike about eating in Esperanza is how some of the locals like to drive down main road with their music so load it drives everyone crazy. This is not Bananas fault but they should get together with the other restaurants and get... More

My husband and I stayed in Vieques for our anniversary and stumbled upon this place one rainy afternoon. The staff were incredibly charming and very attentive. The food is a little pricey, but totally worth it for the great experience. We ended up eating lunch there almost every day during our stay that week. I highly recommend the key west... More

Stayed on the island for 6 days and ate here about as many times. Probably the best bang for the buck we got here. Totally informal with diverse menu not to be compared to the restaurants we're used to in the U.S. Good drinks, sort of a party atmosphere like most of the restaurants here. Actually has good salads which... More
