Unfortunately , AL SUR has closed, but the new restaurant at the museum, Café Lucero , is very good. It is cheaper , and has a combination of sandwiches and hot meals : soups , several chicken dishes, pork loin, churrasco and fish. Desserts are very good.

I must say that my first visit here was just great. Excellent food, very nice modern place with the view of the beautiful museum. It was so good we decided to go back... different chef, different story. They didn't have most of the things I ordered frome the menu. When the food arrived it was nothing like my first experience... And this is true in this stupendous restaurant inside the renovated Museum of Ponce. A wonderful and original mix of local ingredients with an innovative touch from the young chef makes dining here a wonderful experience. Although small, you are rewarded with attentive waiters and waitresses and the best meal you can imagine. The restaurant is not cheap but you... More

The food is excellent and the locale with many glass walls facing the museum garden full of art and plants is lovely. The food is a fusion of P.R. cuisine and international cuisine. As good as anything you will find in S.J.

I was invited to the musuem for an activity and a group of us wandered off from it and stumbled with the restaurant as it was closing. The manager was very corteous and welcomed us in. We did not eat as the activity had catering service, but we did have a few drinks and the manager let us stay for... More

The restaurant is at the back of the art museum. The ambiance is good and the food is definitely worth a visit. The waitress brought us an appetizer on the house, a popover with guava butter, it was very tasty and creative!! She recommended us something that's not on the menu, it's a dish with salmon and rice covered by... More

We were visiting the Museo de Arte de Ponce and wanted to take a break for lunch. We had no idea there was such fine dining at this gem of a museum. The shrimp trio was outstanding as was the house popover with mango-cilantro-brandy butter. A very contemporary design with views of the museum courtyard. We ate outside protected from... More

My godfather and I came to the museum and ended up having dinner on the Friday night. The entrees were great, but moreso, the staff were wonderful. Very attentive and great sense of humor. The chef even came out to talk to us and make us feel welcome. We had such a great time on Friday that we even came... More

What a joke!!!! Came for dinner in a group of 8....no salmon (3 entrees salmon based), only one shrimp serving available, no filet mignon. Only able to order four souffles because no more ramekins available for the rest we wanted. I live in Ponce and this is probably the last time you'll see me here ( the bar could always... More

absolutely nothing wrong. sadly they were out of the gravlax bagel and crab cake on their brunch menu, so we opted for the salmon and shrimp on the dinner menu. $25 vs $12, but quite good. definitely a good place for foodie's.
