Great Fresh Seafood and View

We both had Red Snapper. Fish prepared nicely, moist not over cooked. Mozzarella sticks also very nice, don't tell my Doc ! Smooth service and a great view with your own fish farm.

I have traveled to PR for 30 + years. Ponce has been one of those places that has gotten stuck in the past for decades. A good and safe stop has been this restaurant for many years. If you are up for seafood, this is a safe bet. Try it! That's why I keep going there everytime I go back... More

We stopped at La Monserrate on Christmas Day after our reservation at another restaurant was not honored. They were amazing. They made room for our party of five, made us feel welcome, and proceeded to serve a delicious feast. The lobster in garlic sauce is superb. We hope to return very soon.

Located in the #2 road of Ponce. Is an ocean front view restaurant. I had a tasty pink piña colada and a very delicious mofongo stuff with octopus and salsa criolla. Enjoyed the meal and the ocean view. Little pricey but worth the visit. Overall: Very good food.

This ocean front restaurant is always a treat. The food is varies from simple Puerto Rican cuisine to delicious seafood. You can enjoy the sounds & tranquility of the ocean while you enjoy a delicious meal. This is a family run restaurant in it's second generation. A little expensive but worth it!

A nice location right on the water right next to Pito’s and this place has a light shining on the water so you can enjoy the sea life. The food is the same as Pito’s and the price seamed just a little lower. If I were to go back I would visit La Monserrate over Pito’s any day.

I had the lobster with shrimp and it was good. My wife had the snapper filled with lobster, also good. Enjoyed their piña colada and tres leches dessert. Beautiful view just to chill and let time go bye.

The view out of this restaurant is amazing, definitely worthwhile. The food is ok but I found it a bit pricey, service is not bad either. The one challenge is parking.

My parents used to take us here while growing up in Ponce. I was visiting Ponce and dined here with my kids and other family after many, many years. La Monserrate is still a great place to eat. The views are spectacular. The food is still great. Had a "mariscada" which was excellent. It sure brought memories to return. Only... More

When we are in the Ponce area we stop here for their seafood empanadas. The mariscada ones are tops and a good deal for $4. Two empanadas and a beer make a great lunch. Sorullitos are good too. Tonightwe lingered and after the empanadas we ordered dinner. Salad was plain, just OK. tostones were not crunchy or flavorful and were... More
