Good Food, Family Friendly

This is the place to go in Dorado if you are craving local cuisine and some good seafood. The ambiance and service are consistently good, and the food is of superior quality. Alberto, the owner and Chef, is always around to please any particular cravings not on the Menu, and children can always... read more

This place was full of locals. This was not a bad place, just very boring food. The fish was fresh and mofongo nicely prepared...it was just boring. No flash or spice or pizazz. I think for a Puerto Rican palate, its probably great. I found it to be boring. Very friendly and efficiant service.

Luck was on our side for sure! Looking for a place opened on Monday, we struck out on our initial choices and found this place. We went because it was open and had not read anything beforehand. Luis, our server was awesome. Funny, knowledgeable, polite, and on top of things. We had a party of 8. Food was VERY GOOD.... More

great service! Cold cold beer, Madalla light local beer very good. The food here was very good, we had the special which was Mahi Mahi w shrimp and creole sauce. Very fresh fish. The price was good for the quality and quantity. Brought some back and had for lunch the next day. No complaints here everything was great!

This place is full of locals of dorado. It has local cuisine which is acceptable maybe good but never extraordinary. It has some nights live music which makes it impossibuto have a conversation when someone opens the doors to come into or out. Stick to the basics.

This restaurant was one of my family favorite because the food was fresh and yummy. Now is very little portion and the seafood is not fresh anymore...we are so sad..

Decided to have a late lunch (4pm) on a rainy tuesday afternoon with my 8 family members. extensive menu, superb meal-local crab stew (salmorejo de jueyes) could not have been better. Huge grilled redsnapper (chillo), mofongo stuffed with shrimp, asopao de pollo (chicken stew), and my favorite, conch (carucho) salad. The restaurant was cleaned and all to ourselves. Glad to... This casual restaurant offers great seafood and Puerto Rican specialities. The halibut and lobster were delicious! Very nice portion size and and very nice waitstaff.

my favorite dish is the octopus salad, which is always fresh and tasty. The prices have gone up and the quantity had shrunk but in general this is one of the most well known restaurants in Dorado. Good garlic bread. If you are a meat lover you should try the chuleta can can (pork chop) with tostones (fried plantains)

We've been coming to Dorado for about 8 years, and we never miss eating at La Villa Dorada de Alberto. The fish dishes are always fresh, and the service is always superb. The Spanish sausage and the fried cheese appetizers are excellent. If you're driving, the parking can be a bit dicey, but they usually have someone helping in the... More
