A rare wonderful experience so unexpected in this sleepy northern town with beautiful hidden beaches, a lack of tourism seeming so far away from the hustle and bustle of more frequented Old San Juan. Approaching the elegant wrought Iron fenced in compost, this quaint compound we enter to find a beautiful tabby cat lounging lazily as the sun sets in... More

Everything was superb-- food, service, ambiance! A must while in the area. Art on all the walls. Best meal I had in Puerto Rico. I had the paella for two with my son. It was presented beautifully. Best sweet plantains I have ever had! Not greasy, and not over cooked-- a real treat!

El Ladrillo was a gastronome's dream. The Tesoro appetizer was delicious. It's a tomato-based sauce with herbs and peppers and amazing mussels, calamari, lobster and shrimp. We enjoyed the fantastic paella for two with a succulent assortment of fish in a bed of saffron rice. For our side we chose 2 types of plantains- fried and sweet. We loved the... More

El Ladrillo is one of the best restaurants I have tried. From the moment you come in you feel welcomed by your host as well as for the place itself. The ambiance created by its illumination and the art work that fills the walls makes you feel relaxed creating the perfect moment for a perfect meal. The food was excellent... More

We have been to 5 resorts on the Riviera Maya, been to Jamaica, the Bahamas, Dominican Republic, and much of south Florida. There is no restaurant that compares to El Ladrillo. We found it when looking for another restaurant. Food and ambiance were superb, but service was what made the experience. Lynette was all about what was great here. We(my... More

I have frequented this restaurant for many years and have always enjoyed myself. The restaurant itself is a art gallery from local artist and the restaurant is very inviting and relaxing. The leans towards Puerto Rican cuisine and is very good. It's a place to go and enjoy the food and atmosphere.

As my daughter and I drove pass this aesthetically pleasing restaurant we decided to give it a closer look. Glad we did. Beautiful artwork surrounds you and you feel very welcomed. The food choices were excellent and priced accordingly. Service was very good. All around an excellent choice.

It starts at the front door where you ring a bell and wait for your friend to let you in. Then you enter to a dining room that feels as cozy as grandma's home... like nothing's changed in 40 years except the addition of new paintings (and I mean that in a good way!) There's art, art everywhere... floor to... More

My wife and I just moved to Dorado from the UK and often eat out. We found this jewel nested in Dorado and loved it. Great atmosphere, food and overall value. Very friendly staff and prompt service. We will make it one of our regular spots from now on.

This is another restaurant we have been going to for years in Dorado Beach. It is quiet and a little more upscale than most in the area. The owners are very friendly and service is excellent as well as the food.
