We ate here in Feb 09. The decor is depressing, the wait staff was glum, and the food was not the least bit interesting. Onion soup was nearly flavorless. My fillet mignon was fine (even done properly) but nothing special. My companion's sirloin was as much gristle as steak. more
I have been their customer for more than 20 years and they have never dissapointed me. The quality is unsurpassed. Prices are very reasonable. Good for a full meal or just for snacking: try their caldo gallego followed by an empanada de pollo and their chicken or ham "croquetas", and chorizo. The place resembles your typical 1960's Spanish tasca, and the decor has seen better days. The food may take up to 45 minutes to reach you. The occasional waiter may be indifferent, or maybe even rude...but the food is beyond excellent. No matter what you order: seafood, veal medallions, paella, the tapas...the food is just exquisite, well worth the wait.... more
They have excellent food, Sangria, and sevice. Thats why is my favorite restaurant in Puerto Rico. more
You won't find a better paella anywhere else. The San Jacobo is awesome. And the chiken croquettes and the flan, DON'T DARE TO MISS THEM. more
