Upgrade Puertorican cuisine at a reasonable price and good quantity. Wood construction like it use to be in Puerto Rico more than 40 years ago. They use tin can to serve water. The atmosphere especially at night is great.

The food was normal, no the best in the area. I ordered the chicken breast stuffed with cream cheese and ripe plantains with guava sauce, the taste is not good. My boyfriend ordered the filet mignon and rice "mamposteado", the sauce was salty, like we use for bbq, so our experience was not good at all.

I have been there a couple of times. In both cases the experience was positive, the first time more than the second one. They have some interesting appetizers. The fried pieces of fish filet are good and rather cheap for the quantity. Generally speaking the food is "upper level" Puertorican cuisine and is quite good. I definitely think that it... More

Had an absolutely incredible time at Hacienda Latina. From our server (Valery) to the delicious meal. Each one of us, including the children, thought this was one of the best meals we've had in PR (and we've had many since we are frequent fliers). We capped off the evening with a scrumptious desert--fried cheescake in guava sauce, flan de maiz,... More

Had dinner here with several friends while spending the night in Mayaguez during La Vuelta Puerto Rico. I had the chicken breast stuffed with red beans & rice, and yucca. Ab fab meal!! They put yucca and plantains in their red beans & rice, and the white cream sauce was one of the best I have ever had. I've seen... More

The service here is almost non-existent, but if you are friends with the owner, lucky you! The food is good, although sometimes it can be too salty. Mojitos are the best!

Hi This restaurant is a nice place, very folkloric. The food is OK. What I didn't like was the prices, to expensive for such simple meals. Also, there is an old man, maybe the owner, that is somehow rude with the customers. If you ask for simple changes in the menu combination there is no way they can do it.... More

Me and some friends went on a Roadtrip around the island and passed by Mayaguez in search of a good place to eat a nice Monfongo that we all were craving. We noticed this restaurant by accident and decided to stop and see their menu and weren't disappointed. The restaurant is quite small, but well propositioned. It's decor and atmosphere... More

This spot rates highest in all categories with us. The service, the food, and the presentation is the best. Everything on the menu is a good value including the wines! We had the Protos reserva 2006 for $35.00! A couple of tips: Should you pull up and the place looks dark as if it's closed, it's probably open. The main... More

Everything was great. We got there , the waitress rapidly Took our order and after 5 min we got appetizers and the drinks. 15 min after the food was here and it was very good. The music was great and the manager Came to every table and asked if everything was fine. Definetly going again!
