Had dinner here with several friends while spending the night in Mayaguez during La Vuelta Puerto Rico. I had the chicken breast stuffed with red beans & rice, and yucca. Ab fab meal!! They put yucca and plantains in their red beans & rice, and the white cream sauce was one of the best I have ever had. I've seen... More

The service here is almost non-existent, but if you are friends with the owner, lucky you! The food is good, although sometimes it can be too salty. Mojitos are the best!

Hi This restaurant is a nice place, very folkloric. The food is OK. What I didn't like was the prices, to expensive for such simple meals. Also, there is an old man, maybe the owner, that is somehow rude with the customers. If you ask for simple changes in the menu combination there is no way they can do it.... More

Me and some friends went on a Roadtrip around the island and passed by Mayaguez in search of a good place to eat a nice Monfongo that we all were craving. We noticed this restaurant by accident and decided to stop and see their menu and weren't disappointed. The restaurant is quite small, but well propositioned. It's decor and atmosphere... More

This spot rates highest in all categories with us. The service, the food, and the presentation is the best. Everything on the menu is a good value including the wines! We had the Protos reserva 2006 for $35.00! A couple of tips: Should you pull up and the place looks dark as if it's closed, it's probably open. The main... More

Everything was great. We got there , the waitress rapidly Took our order and after 5 min we got appetizers and the drinks. 15 min after the food was here and it was very good. The music was great and the manager Came to every table and asked if everything was fine. Definetly going again!

Good menu, good food, and excellent atmosphere resembling a puertorrican country house back in the '40s. Tasty food and appetizers, but service could be better. Very friendly staff, but had to wait long, which was worth it. I will be back.

We went on vacation to the west area by July 4th weekend and were looking for typical food! We were in interstate 2 via Mayaguez, it was raining, were so hungry ... and decided to take the route to the right in the Mani traffic light because want to cross by the place called "El Litoral", and guess what? for... Had trouble finding a restaurant in the area, then stumbled upon Hacienda Latina and could not have been happier. I would describe the food as upscale Puerto Rican cuisine with very reasonable prices. I had the chicken wrapped and stuffed with plantains & goat cheese and smothered in a delicious rum and guava reduction. We also had garlic grilled shrimp... More
