The is the place where I had the best food of my life. So this is a Tapas restaurant and ended up ordering so many things. Crème Brulee was very tasty and perfect. There are other restaurants in this hotel El Convento. Must Visit !!

All I can say about this restaurant is that the food was outstanding. Every dish was superb. If you are in Old San Juan this is a must stop for dinner.

Came here after a long day spent hiking. The place is awesome, and the food (Spanish) was very good. Would go back!

We've eaten here twice now. Both times when staying at Hotel El Convento, which we love. The tapas are tasty. The service is very good. The atmosphere and ambience are hard to beat. Even if you don't stay at El Convento, you should definitely see it for its beauty and history. Last and certainly not least, we love their sangria!

First of all, get the mojitos. They will ruin all other mojitos, but well worth it. Service and decor is great - right in the heart of san juan. There is a parking lot ($10 for 3 hours) right at the corner if you have a car, otherwise a cab will take you right there. Food was great! I'm a... More

Our family of four enjoyed tapas and drinks on the patio at El Picoteo. The tapas were very tasty and great to share. If I can recommend a drink, the mango mojito margaritas were top notch.

Friday night we were lucky enough to catch the appearance of trio featuring a female Flamenco dancer...provided the ideal atmosphere for tasty tapas.

We recently attended a wedding dinner at El Picoteo, food was fantastic, service and waitstaff very attentive and made the evening enjoyable. We are planning on coming back for a more low key dinner. Highly recommend.

Located upstairs at ElConvento in Old San Juan across from the cathedral. Tapas, paella, sangria, nice wine list. Tried octopus, Argentinian sausage, paella, hummus. All very good. They were out of mussels for the paella so they added extra shrimp. Our server was very nice. He even went out on the street to snag a taxi for us at the... More

Some of the best food we've had in Puerto Rico. The chicken skewers, the sausage tapas and the white bean hummus with truffle oil was great. And just enough food for two of us! And the restaurant was charming and the service great! Great value for those tapas dishes!
