I have stayed at El Covento Hotel and have enjoyed El Picoteo for many visits. I was so looking forward to going back, so my disappointment was more intense. The bar and restaurant needs attention. It is has seen better days, it is unkept (keep in mind this is supposed to be a top luxury hotel), cheap chairs and tables,... More

We went to El Picoteo twice: the first time for appetizers and drinks, and the second time just for drinks. The first time we had a good bartender who made very good drinks, and had excellent appetizers--try the ceviche here! The second time we went for drinks, however, there was a different bartender, and the drinks were AWFUL. We both... More

This place is in the same complex as the El Convento hotel and Patio del Nispero (which is inside the hotel) It was a lovely stop for wine and tapas, decent food although a bit overpriced for what it was.

Wonderful cocktails, wonderful food. Try the beef tenderloins. Get a table overlooking the hotel bar

We ate in this place twice. The first time I had the small pizza with sliced tomatoes. My wife liked it so much, that she had it the next time. Not even the same dish. Talked to the manager and sent it back. Still could not get it right. You would think that there would be a standard for the... More

We stopped by and sat outside in the cute courtyard area, where we had a delicious lunch. The special cocktails were yummy and refreshing, and the food was light and perfect for a break from shopping and the heat. We really enjoyed our leisurely lunch here!

My fiancé and I went on a slow weeknight and Gustavo (I think that was his name) did a great job going down the menu with us and made great wine suggestions. The patio is amazing!

El Picoteo, was suggested by a friend who lives in PR. What a great suggestion. We went there on a Friday night for dinner. The food was wonderful. We ordered champagne sangrias and Chicken Croquets, Salmon with Manchego, and the gazpacho. We really enjoyed our food. The historical feel and classy design of the hotel and restaurant made it a... No AC on a hot and humid day didn't damper the extraordinary Jean and the culinary team. I think we ordered almost all the menu items! In a world of Jaleo and Tapeo, nice to find a Spain hugs PR tapas style. Spanish nostalgic decor of Spanish times with contemporary soul. They cook the food you want to eat. "Picoteo"... More

The atmosphere was superb. A very pretty setting. Enjoyed the tapas immensely as well as their champagne sangria. We ordered the roasted potatoes, fried calamari, a salmon dish and mushrooms. All were delicious and more than enough to satisfy the appetites of two hungy people. Prices were about average.
