I had the Morado Coconut. The sauce was good tho I tasted not a hit of coconut. In fact there was so little sauce I couldn't taste much of anything. The fish was a bit on the dry side. My wife's chicken Mofungo was also dry and lacked sufficient sauce to compensate. The Mofungo itself was good, 1st time trying... More

My husband and I ate here after touring the forts in Old San Juan. We both got sandwiches that were huge and delicious. There were many vegetarian options on the menu which was a great surprise - and some vegan as well. Not too many of those in Puerto Rico! The A/C was on for indoor seating, a great plus... More

my girlfriend and I went to this restaurant for dinner as we were doing a cruise the next day. Fabulous, she started out with a Bahama mama drink and raved it was the best one she had and she travels all over. Our dinner order was taken promptly and efficiently and was very tasty. I am not a person to... More

We were in San Juan for a couple days. As vegeterians we know choices are limited in the us. We're usually stuck with the "Chicken Something...hold the chicken" Cafe Berlin had lots of interesting veg options. I had the Gruyere mushroom omelette and my wife had the old San Juan breakfast (hold the pork). Both were scrumptious. Service? We were... More

Following the good reviews we visited cafe Berlin for a quick lunch. Honestly, don't get where the good ratings are coming from. Food was totally overpriced - a salmon sandwich for 17 usd (small in size and nothing special) and the service pretty bad too. Took ages until a waiter showed up. I had a philly chicken which was ok.... More

On our last night in OSJ, my sister and I decided to have our last dinner here. Throughout our stay we tried difference places to eat, various restaurants that ranged from homemade to sitting down and dining. It was late in the evening, and we were one of three couples who were having dinner. The food was extremely delicious, and... More

I liked this place: service was great, very attentive, and fast. Was looking for Vegan restaurants or options in San Juan and this place had a lot of options. They can offer you a lot of plates vegan. I had Puerto Rico national dish - vegan mofongo- was very filling, and very tasty. Salad was very basic.

We liked our meal at the cafe so much the first time we visited Old San Juan, the second time there, we dined there again. Great options for GF and Vegan foodies. The Coconut-tomato sauce grilled tofu and veggie plate was the bomb. Our waiter, Harold, also made our experience at the cafe memorable. Highly recommend.

I happened upon this place by chance as I was out exploring OSJ. I had a quick peek at the menu at the door and thought it would be a nice spot for a romantic dinner. We returned later that evening to find the patio area was completely full but were offered a table indoors. We accepted, were seated and... More

Very charming and a safe haven for vegans with many options including breakfast which is one of the hardest meals to find. They had a delicious and hearty tofu scramble which was even offered with vegan cheese. Excellent!!!
