Typical PR Food, Good Drinks and Friendly Service

My husband and I had lunch here twice, and I liked the Pastilles (fried pockets filled with meat or chicken), and I had the meat ones twice, and the first time a hearts of palm salad with a huge portion of Palm hearts, and the heavily advertised Trifongo the second time. The Trifongo is a cup... read more

Six of us stopped here for a quick lunch. We reviews saying that the best hamburger in town could be found here. Sorry to say that the previous reviews were way off the mark.

Stopped by on whim and ended up coming back for more. Good burgers and since I no expert but I guess the local food is good too. Our bartender Eme (Emanuel) was a good host and he made a great Mango Mojito. The back patio area looks cozy but we just sat at the bar and enjoyed ourselves after a... More

My wife grew up in PR and this place is great for local cuisine at very reasonable prices. In beautiful Old San Juan, go there to try some mofongo or tostones with chuleta (pork chops) or maybe even a glass of sangria or two.

We went here for our first night, based on the positive reviews and the fact that we could get both local and "familiar" (read: hamburgers and chicken strips) for the kiddos. The food was merely acceptable, except for the breaded shrimp, which was too tough. The nicest thing I can say is that the sangria pitcher was bigger than expected... More

This was recommended by one of the Park Rangers at the San Felipe de Morro Castle. We sat in the bar and Eme recommended the mofongo. We order one shrimp and one red snapper. It was very good. The rice and beans were outstanding. Along with our beer, Eme gave a sample of the Sangria. Delicious. We will go back... More

We popped in here for a lunch, excellent food (tasty burgers) and wonderful service. We were totally stuffed and most happy. Therefore we returned later in the evening since they had a good offer on prosecco!

I'll admit I went in just because I was hungry and it was close. I wasn't disappointed. Decided to sit in the bar, and the bartender was super courteous and gave us good recommendations. Stop by if you want some good food!

We were wandering old San Juan the day after three kings day (major holiday in PR) and there was not many places open. We just wanted somewhere low key to grab a few drinks and some food to pass the time and El Patio de Sam delivered. When we arrived the bar area up front was mostly full consisting of... More

We decide on this place based on reputation and reviews for authentic PR food. This may have been an off night but everything we ordered was bland and very unmemorable. Way too expensive as well.
