We have been here a few times over the years. The food is always good. The staff is friendly. The fried cheese balls are very good. The prices are reasonable. I would recommend to anyone that wants typical puertorrican food.

Relieved to find a place that would seat a group of 10 without a reservation. They didn't even bother us that not everyone arrived at the same time. They sat our group at a large table near the back of the restaurant. The server was attentive and very nice about splitting checks. The food was reasonably priced and good, if... More

After a long day of exploring Old San Juan, El Patio de Sam is the perfect place to refresh, have a beer, a small lunch and then head back out. The bartender, Emanuel, is one of the best people we met while in Old San Juan. He was very friendly and took great care of us. We would highly recommend... More

We visited for dinner with the grandchildren and their parents. The Medella Cerveza was quite cold and came quickly. I believe the other drinks were a Mojito & Cuba Libre for the adults and milk in cups with lids & straws for the little ones (4 & 6 years). They have a "kids menu" which included some of their favorites... More

We were thirsty, hot and hungry and were walking aimlessly from the upper fortress. We walked past a few places and happened to open a door to this establishment quite on accident. We sat at the bar with the two waters Emanuel happily gave us. It is a kind friendly bar/resturant. I ordered a mojito that was made just right... More

Loved the burgers we had the blue cheese burger and the American burger. and they had the best onion rings ever. When we arrived at the airport we had received a map and on it was a coupon so we also enjoyed 2 for one mojitos which was a great bonus. The service was really great as well.

By day, a watering hole with average bar food. The cubano sandwich was actually awful, we've had better in the states, which is sad. But, in the evening the place is a regular hangout for gay locals, mixed with families with no notice or consequence.

Stumbled across this place while looking for a place to grab a few drinks in the early evening. Many mojito choices, just pick one and enjoy! The beer wasn't quite cold enough for me, but it was 90 out, so nothing stayed cold for long. The burger was ok, not bad, but not too notch. The plantains and salsa are... More

I really enjoyed the ambiance, especially the courtyard. The food was excellent, however, a bit overpriced for my taste. The server was attentive. Overall, a very good experience.

Found this little gem after touring both forts in old San Juan. I was hesitant at first and then the staff which is friendly pulled me and my girlfriend right in. The food is awesome and the bartender we had was even better. He was attentive and friendly and shared some of his knowledge to help us out with things... More
