We have been here a few times over the years. The food is always good. The staff is friendly. The fried cheese balls are very good. The prices are reasonable. I would recommend to anyone that wants typical puertorrican food.

By day, a watering hole with average bar food. The cubano sandwich was actually awful, we've had better in the states, which is sad. But, in the evening the place is a regular hangout for gay locals, mixed with families with no notice or consequence.

Stumbled across this place while looking for a place to grab a few drinks in the early evening. Many mojito choices, just pick one and enjoy! The beer wasn't quite cold enough for me, but it was 90 out, so nothing stayed cold for long. The burger was ok, not bad, but not too notch. The plantains and salsa are... More

I really enjoyed the ambiance, especially the courtyard. The food was excellent, however, a bit overpriced for my taste. The server was attentive. Overall, a very good experience.

Found this little gem after touring both forts in old San Juan. I was hesitant at first and then the staff which is friendly pulled me and my girlfriend right in. The food is awesome and the bartender we had was even better. He was attentive and friendly and shared some of his knowledge to help us out with things... More

We came across Sam's after touring both forts and were amazed how good the hamburgers were. They reminded me of hamburgers you would grill in your own backyard. Excellent service and a great atmosphere!!

We have gone here twice to eat dinner, and we loved it both times! It is close to all of the bars we go to on San Sebastian Street, and they have pretty good happy hour specials. The churrasco is delicious and comes with a lot of food. The salmon was also very good. We have gone here in gym... More

We visited for lunch and were a bit underwhelmed. Not many vegetarian options, but they did have mofongo that they could make veg friendly. The steamed veggies that came with the mofongo were fairly good but the plantain dish itself was dry and tasteless. This place is apparently known for its burgers, so my cousin ordered one and was rather... More

We were a large family group, around 14. Nice service, nice atmosphere (though a bit warm). Food was very good and they got all plates correct. Prices were actually reasonable.

The staff was friendly and service professional at this cute restaurant in Old San Juan. The best dish is the Trifongo, a delicious take on Mofongo. The fried chicken was good and there is a kids menu, too. The rice and beans were good, as were the pork cubes, but both could have been better seasoned.
