Fresh food made daily to perfection. Excellent European flavors. Wait staff and Maitre D' are there to fulfill every need. Extra thumbs up to the Pastry Chef. I would dine here everyday if I could afford it. A good $140 spent for a couple but worth it!

The food is delicious, tasty. The servers are very attentive and polite. Good atmosphere. Plenty of parking space or valet parking available. Well located, easy to access. Perfect place for a wedding celebration or a Sweet 16 party or "Quinceañero",

I was in the mood for paella so I went direct to El Zipperle a German old fashioned restaurant in Hato Rey metro area of San Juan. Was not my first time, and I had a great paella pan at my table. All that big rice plater for me, it includes lobster instead of shrimp, a great flavorful chorizo and... More

Excellent Spanish and German (?!?!) food in a cozy German-style setting. The service is a bit slow, but it goes with the Spanish tradition of enjoying your meal without any concern for the time spent with good friends, drinking wine and savoring tapas. The pulpo a la gallega and the sopa de frijoles negros are highly recommended!

Even though the service is not so good and kind of slow, this spanish place is a tradition in the San Juan area. Food is a little expensive for the service you get, but it's a nice ambiance with live music on friday night.

It really was an excellent experience. A quiet atmosphere as a complement of the service. Their paellas taste are out of this world.

The worst paella i ever tried, the rest. Looks outdated, and the service is very dissapointing. Also the prices are very expensive for what they offer. Definetly never will go again

I have only been here once, with a recent groupon offer. Also, I should say that we normally live in Tampa and Atlanta, not San Juan. That having been said, I had very high expectations because of El Zipperle's reputation, and they were exceeded. Service was OUTSTANDING, the paella (and I consider myself something of an expert on paella) was... More
