This restaurant was only a short drive from the Isla Verde hotel area and it was great. The food was as authentic as it can get. We had the mufongo with chicken and couldn't believe how good it was. Probably the best tasting meal we had while in Puerto Rico. Definitely will be returning anytime we return to San Juan.

Location is actually a quiet part of Santurce. A no frills building, that gets it's busiest from locals on Sunday. So go during week. It's great home cooked puerto rican food. We had snapper w/shrimp, scallops. Plantains, rice, red beans. Ice tea. Cost around $20.

Every time I visit Puerto Rico I have to stop at this restaurant. I reminds me of my grandmother's cooking. The food is delicious!!! The staff is also very accomodating. If you are ever in PR please stop by this restaurant you will not regret it.

"Criolla" puertorican cuisine. Feel like home admosphere. 12 members of my family spent an quality time, tasty, Saturday evening at La Casita Blanca. Great tasting treats to get us started and ready for great food and outstanding service; the will do whatever it takes to please your taste buds. The shot of "chichaito"at the end of the meal and traditional... More

My fiance and I visted San Juan for a week, its funny that it was hard to find authentic Spanish food because Puerto Rico is so Americanized. We went to this spot and it was amazingly Good. I cleaned my plate. The service was awesome, it felt like I was dinning among family. The couple whom own it is very... More

Definitely not what we expected, but well worth it! This is the place to go if you want authentic Puerto Rican food. If you're looking to dine in a fancy restaurant, this is not the place. The food is homemade and the decor is rustic, sort of out of place, but you can't help but appreciate the great service and... More

Great place --This not a fancy place but it is worth the visit, located in a neighborhood in Santurce which I found interesting,We were staying in Condado and this place was a 9 minute drive away.We sat outside in the terrace. The food was delicious. Everything we ordered had an authentic homemade taste. The menu was hand written (In Spanish) on... More

Went here on my visit last month, figured we would try it after landing and before checking in at the hotel. The food was delicious, plenty of it, so we took the left-overs back to the room and finished it later. It's not a fancy place, the important things is the good food. The prices are also good for all... More

Great restauarant -- we were looking for authentic Puerto Rican dishes in a non-touristy spot, and this fit the bill. The food was delicious. Everything we had was authentic tasting and clearly homemade (in a good way!). We were in San Juan for about four nights and ended up going here twice for lunches and dinner. Some people complained about... More
