I have walked by this restaurant many times over the years and never paid attention to it. What an oversight. The decor and atmosphere are very nice. The waitstaff is courteous, professional, knowledgeable and caring. The food outstanding. Every plate at my table was clean when we finished eating. A very nice meal and experience.

3rd time visiting and they never fail on the authentic Puerto Rican food. A must visit if in Old San Juan. Tantilate your taste buds with any of the signature Mofongo Relleno (stuffed mashed green plantain) specialities from beef to seafood. Great friendly servers and traditional dress and there's music (especially if it's your birthday!) You must dine here. I... More

This restaurant was recommended to me by a local. What seemed to me strange, because locals rarely recommend a “touristic”restaurant. But after this experience I can say that despite being in a touristy area, it'll probably be the best restaurant to go. Porkshops are out of this world. 100% recommended. Prepare for “island-chillout-IdontCareThatMuch” service. But food is great!

Food was OK. Our waiter was really nice. The fact that it was so crowed really effected our dining experience.

This place is always packed-the food is local cuisine presented in a traditional way.. Prices and service was good-but be prepared to wait. I recommend the place if you can wait-otherwise go somewhere else!

I let my waitress know I have an allergy, and she took care of it. I was worried about the mofongo being fried with other things, but she said she would have the cooks use new pans. I'm pretty sensitive to cross contamination and I didn't get sick at all so it seems like they really did take extra measures.... More

The restaurant is located in a great part of old San Juan where there is a lot of shopping and other restaurants. There is someone out side the restaurant dressed in a traditional Puerto Rican outfit that places you on the waiting list. The restaurant can be a bit busy when the cruise ships are in port to be prepared... More

I had a really nice typical dish from island with piña colada and it was delicious. It is a small place ... But it's cozy.. The staff seem to be super busy but it was nice to see they were wearing outfits from the history of Puerto Rico..overall a nice experience y different.

Quite simply, did we enjoy it? Yes. If we found ourselves in the area for an extended period of time, would we return? Yes. It is touristy. It is crowded. But, honestly, we didn't find the prices to be that over-the-top when compared to other restaurants in San Juan overall. We all (3 of us) had the mofongo with churrasco... More
