Great atmosphere, you definitely come here for the various risotto fusion dishes. Particularly the black bean and seafood risotto dishes! A one of a kind dish!

We had the fried risotto balls and the shrimp with garlic for appetizers- both were great. We ordered the Ropa Vieja, which had come highly recommended- it was so super tender, we paired it with the rice and black beans and the fried yello plantains for sides- the combo of flavors was fantastic!

This is an authentic Puerto Rican grill. The prices are awesome - especially for the amount of food you get. Also, the service was top notch. They were very accommodating and quick. I got the grilled skirt steak with olive oil and herbs and it was amazing! I highly recommend this restaurant.

This place gets crowded fast late in the evening so be prepared to wait. The food is amazing. My daughter had the shrimp with garlic sauce and she loved it like she was starving. The mofongo is to die for and the sangria can get you in trouble if you keep drinking. We loved it because of the location to... More

We walked from our hotel to find a long wait...well, it wasn't that long---but if we had been 15 minutes later, then a real wait. It was all worth it! Great customer service by our waitress, the gentleman who seemed to be the owner and another floor person. Great service with a smile, wonderful food. We shared a number of... More

My husband ate here on his first trip to San Juan for business. He couldn't stop raving about the ropa vieja he'd had. He took me to try it at two places, one here in Nashville and one in Jacksonville, FL. The one in Jax was way too salty and I couldn't understand what he was making a big deal... More

We were so excited to enjoy a nice dinner in Puerto Rico. We found this restaurant in the Bienvenidos magazine in our hotel room. We did read reviews on tripadvisor about their bad service, but we gave it a chance anyways. Bad idea:( The waiters acted as if we were bothering them after we had waited 10 minutes and still... When you hear the restaurants name Ropa Vieja, you right away think of ordering that. Pause for a second and read the menu. This place has some really good food. Start with the Ropa Vieja Pastries or the tostones (fried plantain) filled with Ropa Vieja and there, you killed the craving for that dish. They have many rice dishes that... More

One thing I have consistently noticed in restaurants in PR is that the service tends to be on the slow side (and occasionally VERY slow side)- but there is always a sincerity and genuine desire to help. The waiters take their time explaining unfamiliar cuisine to you, and recommend specialties they think you will like (as opposed to the most... More

Husband and I dined here on a Thursday evening. We ordered red sangria and mojitos (which were both tasty). We had chicken and rice and ropa vieja. The chicken was dry, but the rice was fantastic. The ropa vieja with black beans and rice was really good. The meat was a little salty, but still a great dish. We had... More
